What are they? What material is this? Is it wood filament?

They are…. A surprise? A secret? 
don’t think I can answer that yet???
Material is proto-pasta matte fiber daffodil wood. Not technically wood filament, but uses plant fiber and flecks of pigment to imitate wood.
