Yoyo Appraisal Thread

@yoyojoe

Time permitting, would you mind giving me your thoughts on the 1st run 28s Sasquatch above?

Thank you either way

Honestly probably $120, 28s is one of the most popular yoyo colorways but the sasquatch isn’t as popular.

Which is a shame. The Sasquatch is a delight.

It really is, I prefer it to the Avalanche, but that’s splitting hairs as both models are awesome.

Agreed. I really need to track down an Avalanche again.

Values on these please?

Do you have any prototypes you would be inclined to sell? Also, do you have a shot of all your prototypes?

My pops gave this to me a while back after he was done cleaning, probably a stocking stuffer meant for a long time ago… Does this have a lot of value? Cause I really want to crack it open and play with it.

One in worse condition sold back in Feb 2020 for around $50.

I’d say $50-$75 to the right buyer.

The Sleep Machine and Roller Woody are both pretty common colors; I’d guess you’d get $35-50 for each of them. The Black No Jive is also pretty commonplace and they’ve been averaging $30 new on eBay.

Pocket Rockets are still available from TomKuhn.com so they haven’t taken off on the resale market aside from a few special editions (e.g. 2005 Bryman edition or the camouflage edition). Because this is still on the card I’d say you could get $40 to $60 for it.

Ah I didnt know they were still being sold. Maybe i’ll toss it on the BST for a trade so someone can have an old unopened one - I don’t wanna open it if I can just go buy one on his store.

CLYW Peak, Grey fade, 2nd run?

Didn’t someone just list one of these for $300? @maximusjesse

Just wondering but does flat spots or marks effect value? I know when it’s a mint throw I’m more willing to pay a higher price obviously. Lmk please !

Flat spots and marks do affect value. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of anyone paying more specifically for a damaged yoyo.

I know of historic throws such as ones used to win contests getting more but that’s about it for damaged throws being worth more.
