To me its surprising that clyws first yoyo goes for 600 and onedrops goes for 200. To me the project was a much cooler get than the peak so I guess that worked out in my favour
I happened on an old BST earlier, with a peak and a project - $140 for the pair. How times change…

Times change a lot, I bought the following yoyos between 2010 and 2013
new from shop: 63€
mint: 80€
exchange on equal terms with a Auldey L3 (30-35€ value)
purchased for 45€ including shipping
exchanged for a B!ST Hydra 2 plus 20€
At the time, these were their values, but time changes things, in every field when it comes to collecting.

Consider that it was a request from a kid at the 2010 Italian Nationals. I asked him three times if he was sure he wanted to do the swap, and he said yes, absolutely… The Auldey has hubstacks, a slightly more balanced weight distribution, perhaps… I don’t know, he was thrilled, and so was I!
It must also be said that the Project wasn’t exactly well-regarded at first (in my opinion, it’s always had some brilliant points). Check out this short review from the time (you’ll have to translate it into English).
And I’ll also include this one about the Markmont, written by the previous owner of mine yoyo, the only Markmont to arrive in Italy and one of the very few in Europe.
Of course, I’ve never sold a single yo-yo, I’ve only bought them. The only two I’ve traded were the L3 (I had more than one) and the Hydra 2 (a terrible yo-yo).

The L3 was a great yoyo for it’s time. Often looked at with the same status as the 888. Makes perfect sense for the trade at the time. Unfortunately the value of the L3 didn’t appreciate the same way One Drop yoyos did.
$300~350 for the right collector.

exactly, the Project was the first yoyo of an unknown company (OneDrop design at the time) that produced anything but yoyos… the L3 was produced by a company, yes Chinese, but well known in this sector and above all it was the third yoyo designed by Luo Yi Cheng (aka Takuto) a player who was not one of many, as they say…

I’ve seen several sold in mint condition with the box for 400–450. I based that price range on what I’ve seen. With these yoyos, the price really depends on what the seller wants and what the buyer is willing to pay. There’s no exact figure—just an estimate.

The colourway is also one of maybe fifty, so I agree $300+ isn’t unrealistic

I also have the box, it has a stain from a water drop unfortunately.
I think I remember this colorway was sent out as a replacement for a bad batch of Grind Machine 2s in 2007. I don’t think it was ever for sale, but I could be wrong.

It was sold, I believe as a European exclusive.
Some may also have been sent out as replacements, but it’s before my time so I can’t say for sure!
