I love when I can mix yo-yoing with other passions… and this time, it’s magic!
In the latest episode of the PopCast Yo-Yo Vlog, I created a couple of original yo-yo/magic tricks and showed them to a real magician at his secret San Francisco theater. His reactions were great and I loved his suggestions. Watch the video and learn the tricks here:
Bringing this thread back up today to correct the record on a trick I mentioned in this magic trick video. I had originally believedI had created the “offstring to onstring” magic trick, in which an offstring yo-yo magically attaches to the end of a string, but now I believe @Taka_soloham deserves credit for that trick. Taka was the first person to publicly document this trick (by performing it onstage at the 2000 World Yo-Yo Contest) and also had the great idea of winding the yo-yo up so he could throw it (rather than my snap start version).
