Yes jive? Any info?

Hey gang, quick questions about a tk acquisition I made last night.

So, last evening I saw this nojive pop up on eBay. I had never seen one with a blue/natural halfswap so I decided to spring for it. I spoke with a buddy of mine who knows a lot bout tk stuff (thanks Tim ), he said it was a good buy.

Anyone have any other info on it? I’ve seen nojives and sleep machines in the same blue. Usually though they have a white fade spot in the middle though. I dunno, just looked cool.

Anyone know any other info?

Suspect someone half swapped with a traditional wood BC era no jive plus the navy.

I half swapped a blue and natural before because with the half swap it was way more balanced and smooth. As @AudreySickburn said, it’s likely that

I’m inclined to agree. That’s what Tim thought. It did come in a newer era box though. I think yall are right, I think they swapped em at the factory.

Thanks for the info though folks! And the quick reply, for real, I really appreciate it!

The funny thing to me is that while I’m no expert I’m pretty sure that box is a fair bit older than either half haha. Possibly someone who made the swap was digging around and was like oh hey here’s a box.

Possibly. The Post said it was all original, originally owned by a collector, but you know how that goes. Unless there’s paperwork that doesn’t mean much. Still, I only paid 25$ for it. Things in great shape!

That’s a great deal either way!

You have that backwards, the blue halves with the stripeless error was from the late 90s at that point the box was the clear bc plastic box. The square gift box first started in the 2010s, I got it with my @edhaponik signature 3in1, around that time Brad was selling production prototypes, test colors, or vaulted collection of 3in1s and sb2s and I got an II devil girl 3in1 in that box.

Interesting. My older Purgatory came in a black box so I thought that’s what the older ones came in. My bad! The more you know.

I think purgatory’s and batiks were some of the more recent 3in1 special editions to release.

Well, there’s certainly nothing wrong with thinking. I do it now and then. But no… They didn’t swap different colored halves at the factory.
