I got my spin tops but I did not realize how small they are. The pictures deceived me. I really thought these things had substantial size.
I did not really think that these things were Palm size. Either way they look like fun. The Alice has a lot of weight to it. I can’t wait till I get home from work
They really are. That’s where you have to figure out how to control such a small item. I definitely prefer bigger tops since they are easier for me to control. S8 has about the right size over all, with the exception of the love (really hard to play for me) and alice (I wish it were bearing as well). Most of the S8’s can be changed to bearing or fixed, so those are definitely my go-to. Chido Trompo has some really great fixed tip that are fairly heavy and the delta is pretty badass but they are not sold in the U.S. and shipping from Mexico is insanely expensive right now.
On the plus side, those 3 tops are well designed and excellent for learning with, and they will take you through advanced tricks.
Ug. My even smaller than the “Alice,” “Love” will be here any day now to start/struggle with for my first month or 2. But I guess my favorite yo yo that I keep coming back to is the Elfverson. I like making things difficult on myself…
I’ve got both Alice and Love. Can’t seem to throw the Love proper. Just too small for my skill set I guess. Funny enough, I Love my Alice!!
Oooo I’m curious about the cobras, I think they look neat
These cobras are actually really nice. I only paid $18 for all three and I’m still learning how to throw but I was actually able to get one of the cobras to spend almost perfect in their solid. I have no complaints with the cobras at all. I was thinking they were going to be crap because they were on Amazon but that’s definitely not the case
Got FOMO and ordered an Alice. Couldn’t resist. And with the company no longer around, I may not get another chance at a high quality delrin top at that price point.
it stays in the packaging till I learn to throw my Short Circuit though!
The delrin tops really are better in my opinion just for the weight. I like them heavier, but they are all fun once you figure it out!
