True but as a buyer you should know about the shipping cost from the country where you want to buy something, So you know what to pay. At least when i buy something i always search what the cost are. So see no problem for that
You are an excellent buyer, I personally have no clue how much it would cost if I bought from the Philippines or another
Thank u, it would be roughly 25 dollars from the Philippines. But that is pretty normal, mostly when i ship to another region it is like 20 to 25 dollar. And when i buy something from outside the region it is the same.
I’ll try to remember that, thanks for the tip!
somebody on forum just tell me it is $80 USD to ship a yoyo from PH
I learned recently if you ship with UPS from the US to Canada, there’s astronomical import fees.
I ended up paying close to $100 to ship a couple of yo-yos to Canada.
You will get a 1099 automatically. I won a kayak worth a couple of grand a few years ago and got a 1099 from the company that awarded it. If they sent you money or a prize they have your address and have no qualms about reporting it to the IRS.
Turbotax has a place to account for miscellaneous 1099 income from things like prizes and gambling winnings, all of which are reportable.
Once you hit the threshold you’ll be sent a 1099 regardless and have to report and prove your loses which unless you keep the receipts for everything it’s gonna be a pain to do.
Especially if it’s a yoyo you bought from someone else or have held onto for a decade.
I can answer this for you if you post your 2024 tax return, and your estimated 2025 gross taxable income and marriage status.
(Do not do this, I am not an accountant)
I love you guys but I only trust BSTs that aren’t F&F only.
Then most expencive option it is. Cheapest option is see is 25.
I heard that sometime back and I laughed so hard. I thought I was gonna hurt myself.
That the government wants you to report gambling winnings. The reason I find that hilarious is because more often than not people lose money.
So there’s the guy that sticks his neck out and puts his money on the table or in the machine and wins big. The government had absolutely nothing to do with the guy taking chances to try to win more money than he came in with. But if he wins, they want part of it.
But if he loses… For that matter… I think TurboTax actually should have a space where you report how much money you lost gambling and the government factors that in to cut your taxes, a little bit downward.
They want it if you win it. But they won’t own it if you lose it. It’s incredible to think that with all the money related crimes that can get you thrown in jail, that the government pulls money related crimes on the entire population of taxpayers every day of the year.
And they are constantly thinking of more ways to squeeze more money out of people.
They do…
I might not understand this correctly but…
-You work and get taxed on your income.
-You are a freelancer and pay self-employment tax.
-You buy yoyo’s and get charged sales tax.
-If you sell the yoyo’s G+S you get a 1099. Taxed again.
-This extra “income” could potentially bump you into a higher tax bracket and you would pay MORE taxes?
There is probably some kind of profit/loss statement that you could fill out and itemize these deductions?
Bureaucracy at work, I guess.
You also have to submit another form and in TurboTax that upgrades you to deluxe which is more expensive. So if you only do a standard deduction and get a 1099 from PayPal you just got hit with either having to do taxes manually or paying a higher tier…
It is what it is but taxes in the US are stupid and absurd and should be better (many countries do them better) but that’s getting off topic
Ain’t got no time to to be tracking yoyo receipts and bst sales for taxes. Silly season. F&F only for me.

The government says if you’re intaking more than $600 in G&S sales by using financial entities then you have taxable income. Your gains/losses are how one adjusts the liability. But getting a 1099k is proof that you have reportable income.
$600+ is when Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, eBay, etc, will send you a 1099k
It can be based off value as well. I won three pistols at a shooting competition once and I got 1099k for them.
Win a car in Vegas or on the Price is Right and you get a 1099k for it. Most those big tv show prizes don’t get claimed because the contestants don’t want to pay the tax, or can not…
So as I said F&F liked by scammers. But if taxation is a scam and you’re scamming the scam, then both parties are scammers? Double negative becomes a positive and now everyone is legit? Haaaha
You dont have to. These financial institutions make it so convenient. They’ll send you the 1099. You don’t have to do anything. So they’re actually saving you time.
Wtf shooting competition is giving out
pistols let alone 3 of them ive won countless matches of IDPA and was only given a high 5 and a “good job champ”…i need to come hang out where you’re shooting
