What is your least favorite part of your favorite yoyo brand?

What is bad about the person who owns Sochi? Who owns Sochi?

Is the Sochi thing in regards to the alleged cheating (I say this only because I don’t have enough details to state anything definitively)

I post pic katz soon… The yoyo he played with me was the katz and this where i met you two.

So thank shawn and dave to remind him he forgot and i would not met yoyo on yoyo expert where i got the nickel the soda blast mark did sent and i gave it to my aunt that the yoyo i hate to have given away if not evered played… That was mint as mark shipped as to say dave and shawn made when i was ok.

Not sure why clyw doesn’t manufacture their higher end yoyos in 7075 , maybe not a big deal to many but id love a 7075 klondike

This

Avalanche 7075 my beloved

My favorite yoyo brand is Turning Point and my least favorite part is the price.

I personally don’t own any TPs for the sole reason that I simply can not afford them.

Though I am not sure why they are that expensive? I mean they are made in large quantities and in China after all… like most other yoyo companies.

Perhaps they charge that much because they can lol.

CLYW: I appreciate the difficulties with 7075/68 ano, and their awesome ano is part of the appeal, but still would like to see a model or two designed for those materials from them. Also not a fan of NFT stuff but otherwise they’re a swell bunch that do a lot for the community so hard not to love them.

YYR - wish more of their yo-yos were stocked in Europe. And occasionally there are some issues with their ano (eg cups easily scratched or ano oxidizing over time).

Luftverk - Wish they still sent out some of their ti throws to retailers, particularly in Europe (are you noticing a theme here?)

Still, all amazing companies doing cool stuff

The price is fair bc they’re very well designed. They’re also the only company making heavier style yoyos and I’m happy to support Kentaro. I wish they were cheaper but I don’t think it’s wrong to have more expensive yoyos. IMO they’re absolutely worth it to me. Ppl spend much more for mid Ti.

My favourite yoyo brand is probably one drop , i really dislike that fact that every yoyo is shipped out with a flat bearing ,and probably that they don’t do splashes anymore:(

they will be releasing splashes and fades soon

TP monos are quite reasonable (except the Solenoid). Well made and unique designs.

Another vote for OD to bring back splashes and fades. I like the solid colors and what not, but the splashes on my Deep State and Legendary Terrain are killer.

Yeah the MGB is like the perfect yoyo spec wise for me but I’m not paying 150 bucks for it .

Motion

  1. Not enough monos (just one so far, but there’s another very good one coming this year)
  2. Not cheap (for good reason) and the releases keep being too good to pass on
  3. Too many good color choices means temptation to buy more than one
  4. Their appeal has me buying more and higher end yoyo’s than is necessary at my skill level

@JEA86 - More Motion monos!!!

TP2, TP3 and even the MIID-Y and Acanthus are worth a look for mono alternatives.

One drop: 1.pyramatte (prefer blast)
2. Flat bearings
3. That most of their yo-yos come with ultralights side effects instead of something different (I’ve got way too many ultralight se’s)

Not gonna pick favorites, my least favorite part is scarcity. when the company only makes low double digit numbers of a popular design and the same 3 people buy all of them in less than a minute on every drop when they already own more than one.
