What is the best budget responsive yoyo?

I am looking for yoyo that will stay down long enough to do string tricks and still come back up. Kinda like the Dark magic II did

Yotricks Origen. Freehand One.

Are you trying to do modern responsive tricks? The Butterfly XT is a modern responsive beast for $5. I also can’t recommend the Origen highly enough.

Thank you, I will look into this one.

Okay, I guess I will have to try both!

For the DM2 like experience I feel like the FH1 is the best option here.

@fradiger @TryCatchThrow Thanks for the recommendation

The metal or plastic one?

Plastic. Unresponsive enough for Kwyjibo, but still responsive. The others I mentioned are more for responsive play. I misunderstood the question

For the FH1

The metal is unresponsive out of the box IIRC, unless you get the small bearing version.

Our newest release, the AoE comes in responsive pre installed now at yoyoexpert. It comes with a longer Axle and wider Bearing for unresponsive too.
