What do people have to know about contests and how to get sponsored?

Like you can use other company yoyos OUTSIDE of contests, but you have to use that companies yoyos when you compete, right?

I’ve heard that most companies actually encourage you to use any throw that you feel good with but it’s an unspoken rule that you compete with their products out of respect. What would you have thought if Jensen Kimmitt had won the worlds with a Duncan while working at YYF?

The company will see you for your personality, and your skill. But asking and yoyoing for a sponsorship will get you nowhere. Yoyo for fun. And put yourself out there.

your completely right but i have noticed some people don’t know how to put them selves out there. Do you have any advice for them.

Practice a lot, show up to contests, compete, and make videos. That’s basically it. There you go.

thats a great question and i believe you would have to.

Yes. You can use other yoyos. But if you’re competing or making a video, you must use your sponsored company’s yoyo. Unless of course you are sponsored by a site. Then I’m pretty sure you can use whatever you want.
