Very nice! Love that one and great string choice!
Haha. Strings are limited run @BadWolfeCo Tranpar-O purple. It’s difficult doing tricks but very rewarding!
Decided to skip my last day of fixed axel. Going to explore a diffrent Monkey for the next few days… March MonkeyfingeR Madness.
Starting off with a recent AL6 Cesear.
yeah, it’s a sweet throw. MFD does a pretty amazing job on their products.
the string just seemed right.

Nice, thanks! They do look different. Someone on reddit used to compare them. Im going to have to try out a snack sometime. Would be nice to catch a b grade on yotricks when they are $15.
Quercus with a soft crystal. I haven’t really picked up my Quercus since I got a Lisianthus. I definitely prefer the extra weight of the Lisianthus.
I love the look of the soft crystals, but do you think the bearing really helps with the string tension?
I’m undecided right now… But I’m also still rubbish at 5a and haven’t used the crystal very much.
No, the bearing is mostly for changing the feel of counterweight and how it moves, it’s not for keeping neutral torsion. If bearing counterweights had some inherent benefit, you’d see a lot more high level players using them. It feels fairly uncommon to see high level players use bearing counterweights.
The soft crystal feel like it carries way more momentum, and the bearing alone adds a decent amount of extra weight compared to the soft cube. Combined with the shape it just kinda moves slower and takes more force to move around, but once it’s going it wants to keep moving. I prefer the soft cube tbh, but changing things up is fun from time to time. I’m enjoying the soft crystal.
As an aside here’s an interesting poll from both Twitter and Facebook, polling more of the Japanese vs American counterweight preferences. The options are listed in the exact same order.
I thought it was interesting that more Japanese players polled who use bead counterweights prefer to have a bearing in them, but the mostly American players polled who use bead counterweights heavily skewed towards not having bearings in them. I kinda hate dealing with beads, I like how low effort slip knot grooves on counterweights are. It’s sorta wild to see how popular grooved counterweights are are in Japan while elsewhere bead weights reign supreme.
Drooling!
Dressel Design Kanto b grade because of very slight amount of vibe. Replaced bearing and now no more vibe. Fun throw
Ive wanted to be able to post this for years now. Throwing around my Viszilla with those beautiful red anti yo heart S.E
