I haven’t nailed down what I want to do today but I’ve been throwing these three around today in my spare time depending on what I pick up first.
i haven’t had the energy to yoyo for more than a few minutes a day for a while now so i have been throwing something light and fun recently, the dreamland. imo it is the goat of undersized yoyos
St. Elmo and Steadfast - I’ve been bouncing back and forth between these two yoyos all week. They’re my two favorites right now.
Soon as I watch any 5a I’m immediately in the mood to throw 5a myself. (Yes I completely botched the location of the hole I drilled in the CW )
I am going on a trip soon. I don’t want to take a ton of yoyos so I decided to break down my collection into categories and pick my favorite from each category.
- Monometal 1A
- Freehand
- Organic
- Bimetal 1A
- Titanium 1A
- Responsive
This is what I’ve landed on and I think it will stick. But the trip is not until September so we will see.
Also, I could have very easily chosen CLYW for each category but I wanted to do one per brand.
Japan Technology Mirage
CLYW Klondike
Heaven Sent (obviously distinct from CLYW) Creep
Turning Point Palpitation ES
Mowl Ti Surveillance
2018 eH
Picked up my Mirage ESD earlier today to film a trick for the TaW thread, and I’ve been going back to it all day.
I’m doing that thing where I list a yoyo on the BST, then decide to play it randomly, and end up second guessing if I want to let it go or not lol
That bst thing is better than my bst thing which is sell it and decide you still want it and buy it again
Which do you prefer between the 6061 and ESD?
I keep feeling like I prefer the 6061 version… but then I dunno I enjoy just the mild extra heft. Maybe the 6061 version might be the more competitive yoyo, but the ESD might be the more fun yoyo?
Even though the ESD performs every bit as well, it kinda just feels heavier with no benefit. I guess if you ever decide to 3A/5A it, the ESD would hold up better, but is that worth the extra weight? Hard to say for me tbh. I’ve been torn over this since I got the yoyo.
I honestly don’t see much difference between the two besides the ESD feeling slightly heavier. I will probably start using it as a dog walker to be honest. I mostly just picked the regular vs the ESD because I like the neon pink more on it
Yoyofactory Sutter Evo and Abyss. Put a ds bearing in the Abyss, now smooth like my Klondike. So nice And another hobby that can suck a lot of money, slot car racing @Albertino
ZGRT Ti Janus. Such a rad little EDC yo-yo. I’ve been tossing it in my pocket everyday before I go to work.
What is this?!
OneDrop nitro. Easily my favorite OneDrop organic honestly.
Another yoyo named Abyss. Much needed.
Can‘t wait for the new YYF Freehand. Gonna be fire!
