Nice! Wesley did the powder coating on my white VTWO and it has the same kind of surface texture (actually, mine looks like it might be a little rougher than yours). Love it!
It feels like christmas! Thank you so much for the goodies and stickers! @BadWolfeCo Seriously an above and beyond string maker.
And also @l_gong for selling the One Drop SE spikes, they’re perfect!
@pinhead Glad you like it all! I’ll tell you a little secret… my wife packages orders and puts the stickers and extras in, so she’s the one to thank I showed her your comment and she was like “Oh I remember that one!” Haha we’re glad you enjoyed the stickers and strings!
Welcome back, stranger!
Aww man. Thanks. Feels good to be back. Friggin missed you guys. Lol
Ohhh, then tell her an extra super duper thank you very much from me!
Also, welcome back!
You guys rock!
Didn’t you have user pic? A face?
What did you think of the string? I found it a little bit too short for me and very stiff and wirey
YYR Chopsticks Gorilla
Impulse purchase…this guy has taken me by surprise! Love the size, crazy smooth, powerful and super fun! Highly recommend.
From left to right:
Lowerkase, Sprite, Raw 44
Ok, technically the Sprite came in last week, but I thought I’d let it sit in the picture with its kin.
It’s interesting to see the slight design changes they’ve made to account for the different materials and weights. I’m curious to see what the production 44 looks like.
The Sprite is…bizarre. When I pick it up, it feels like it shouldn’t work at all. Like one of those plastic mini yoyos in the 12 pack of party favors. But then it just…works. Not as much spin time as a bimetal*, but I have other monometals to which it’s comparable. Any kind of jerkiness in your motions will become immediately apparent, but it’s also not as unforgiving as I thought it would be. I did have to switch to a slimmer string (RCS Socchi). Once I did that, it was much better.
I actually kinda like it, even if it isn’t going to become my daily throw. I can see moving to this to smooth out tricks.
Side note: don’t throw the Sprite and then try to pick up a new yoyo to evaluate. It will throw your whole sense of yoyo weight right off.
I haven’t thrown the other two yet. Will try to do that this weekend.
*Edit: I only say that to suggest that it really shouldn’t be compared to that class of yoyo. It’s still an incredibly playable yoyo, however, and even with my expectations that it would be, I was still surprised with how playable it is.
The new Bastet II in beautiful glossy red:
This is a terrific yoyo. The only thing I would change about it is I would narrow the gap by at least 0.1mm. In order to get really snappy binds the way I like, I have to use pretty thick string, which I don’t consider a good solution overall.
I didn’t but it’s def time I put one up. Probly tonight when I get home.
Didn’t play with them much yet. They are alot thinner than I was expecting.
Just got a new package. Bunch of yoyos and other items to give away! Recess first bases, yyf American, replay pro, shutter, etc. All you have to do to be entered to win is make sure that you are subscribed to my YouTube channel! Multiple giveaways each month you don’t want to miss this. Shout out to yoyo expert for supporting my channel early on and throwing in some yoyos to give away. You guys are amazing.
Wait… why would you compare the Sprite’s spin time to a bimetal? No way a 23 g yoyo can be that long spinning.
