I have to say that I’m not the biggest fan of the Yogi on the Bonfire:
If you compare it, say, to the version on the BVM2:
You can see that it’s a lot less blended and smooth than it was on the BVM2. The under-colours are paler and less creamy, and the orange is a lot more luminous, which is offputting to me. The difference in the orange (and amount of it) is clear when you see them spinning:
Now don’t get me wrong, I think that the Yogi colourway is one of the best looking out there on their previous models, but on the Bonfire it just looks to me like they got it a little bit wrong…

I still like the “Yogi” Bonfire but the colorway is completely different now (most clearly seen on Gnarwhal 2 and Bonfire) compared to the first few releases. The acid wash color proportions are completely different and I’m almost certain the splash itself is a completely different color. It is really closer to a salmon than copper.
My fault for being a doofus and buying a yoyo based on hopes and dreams that it would look more like the filtered CLYW Instagram pic than the bright YYE pic instead of taking the sure thing and getting Jack Rabbit. I knew the correct play was to just buy both lol.
Although next week looks to be a good one, this week was pretty sweet too. The mail delivered me a second 7075 Gambit, a 2013 Irony JP, a 7075 Genesis and a YYR Blink. The Blink is the least enjoyable of the 4. Fact.
This is because this run had less brown prominent in the acidwash, along with the “salmon” being a little bit too bright… The brown doesn’t seem really apparent in the acidwash itself and is almost like a straight black and clear combination.

I received it as a surprise and it definitely threw me for a loop. This yoyo/brand needs more recognition. It has like -35 Hypes.
