Finally got my avant garde I’ve been waiting for…4 weeks later
Nickel Dietz that I quickly got bored of earlier in the week, Perfect Storm Quake today. Already love the Quake, new one didn’t change much other than give me two sweet Quakes to look at and twice the excuse to throw one.
Is it polished or soda? Either way it must be stunning to look at.
I got a pair of throws that couldn’t be more different! A cascade…and a whip.
I gotta say, the whip is surprisingly cool! Small, light, and … whippy! Haha!
it even has a pretty good grinding surface.
I assume it’s soda blasted since it has a matte look/texture relative to the nickel Summit I had. Definitely looks great but didn’t really do anything for me that my last Dietz didn’t so I already put it up in my BST.
From what I’ve seen, the nickel summits are polished and don’t have a matte finish, more a mirror look.
Just got a handful of those BOSS bearings GSquared has been making. I have to say, the 10-ball grooved is a ridiculous steal, probably the smoothing bearing I’ve used.
