What did you get in the mail for 2020/2021?

Perfect! That’s where I’ve been the last few hours lol. Still can’t land a kickflip to save my life.

My Duncan “Treasure Chest” came in today - 5 yoyos neatly stacked in the corner of the large box, and a diabolo holding everything in place

With this said - Grasshopper, Grasshopper GTX, Exit 8, Windrunner, Drifter XL, and Phoenix diabolo came in today. Have only gotten to play the Grasshoppers and Exit 8 so far. Felt like Christmas Day opening up that box.

I ordered a Selene yesterday! How’s it play?

I’m hesitant to really give an answer as I’ve probably gotten less than an hour playtime (been throwing the Raiser mostly so far) with it and it’s my first yoyo on the wider end. I got it for that reason to see if I would like wider yo-yos at all and it hasn’t disappointed in that regard so far.

What’s the orange one?

What’s a mail day without photos?
Gave the XL a throw…it’s unlike anything I’ve used before and pretty fun. I don’t normally do oversized throws so this is a first. It makes really cool noises too when you bind! I guess if I really wanted to go over-oversized, I could string up that Diabolo with some yoyo string and try giving it a throw

SO happy your order came in @AngryGumball!!  Maildays are so freaking fun haha!
The metal drifter is surprisingly fun to throw around…though I don’t like big yo-yos at all, and I haven’t played with it much.
I think instead of using it as a yo-yo, I’m going to take it apart and remove both the axle and the bearing…and then use the 2 halves as cereal bowls. :stuck_out_tongue:

Giant Organics are the way and the light. Love my Overture, love my 420. I really want an MMCXL but II don’t believe that’ll ever happen. MayheM coming in my Duncan order along with the Drifter XL. So stoked on those two in particular.

Edit: Also have a Burm on my xmas list this year.

I’m guessing the area 51 club is no longer…? I remember as a kid wishing I could be as cool as them, not even knowning who them was.

This thread is going to blow up with a bunch of Vayder pics in the very near future. Maybe we can have a friendly contest to see who can post the best pic of their new Vayder.

It’ll be a good while, shipping doesn’t start until the 24th though

What changed in 2014 with it?

Pretty minor changes but many people say the OG plays better than the new. It might just be bias though since they’re really similar, I’ve never had the new so I wouldn’t know. I do like the look of the OG better though

2014 is straight round shape instead of step straight, pretty sure there’s other very minor changes in the cup and other stuff too

So I’ve got some more time with it and it’s super nimble and light on the string, but I wouldn’t say floaty as you can still really feel its presence, but not in a way that makes it seem heavy or sluggish. It sacrifices a little stability to be fast cuz it’s not a bimetal but not too much as I’m pretty sure they tried to balance center and rim weight.

I personally prefer the Raiser as it lines up with what I’m looking for more. I bought the Selene looking to see if I would enjoy a more v shaped and wider yoyo which is not my usual specs i look for and l really enjoy how this thing plays. Will definitely be putting it in my regular rotation.
