I recently did the same thing, found a Duncan Speed Beatle on the BST that was exactly like the very first yoyo I bought.

I also have the “Emerald Green” colorway, but mine looks black in any light. I was slightly disappointed until I played it, and now I don’t care what color it is. This is an incredible performer!

Duncan Butterfly! This one I picked up at Wal-Mart for $3. Much too light for decent 0a practice, but still sort of works.

If you can find a thin enough string you can get some decent enough performance out of one. I can do kickflips and barrel rolls on the one I have set up (the only use I could find for Zipline cotton and it works great). Also, not one modern Butterfly plays exactly alike. I have several and some are more or less prone to sleeping. I actually enjoy kicking around my Butterfly.

Stock butterflys shouldn’t be too light for 0A. I think they’re around the 50g mark.

To be honest I thought it would be darker based on the pictures they posted, was quite surprised when I sam mine in real life, the green is amazing. but it`s the performance that counts and this one sure delivers, awesome throw!

Yours definitely looks greener than mine.

Really happy about this one. I was a bit apprehensive about the weight, but I’m a sucker for variety. I’m the type of person that can’t order the same thing twice from a restaurant. This one piqued my curiosity, especially at the price. Wow was I worried for nothing. The author is amazing. Nice work @MrYoyoThrower!

Woohoo! Another thrower won over to the “light” side!

I see from the photo that you subscribe to the “Sword is mightier than the pen” camp?

Ziplines are a good choice, just watch the binds. I’ve noticed the author likes string a little thinner, or you get unexpectly snappy binds.

Really like the Nitro and the similar Intro. Nitro has a more refined feel to it.

i didn’t try the intro… but, this throw is floaty as all get out. and comfortable… i’m
having a hard time finding the right word to describe it’s movement… it moves ‘softly’, not slow… it responds in a ‘flowy’ way… providing it an opportunity for great ‘cadence’ while moving through tricks, without being aggressive or speedy… maybe this is nonsense, i just can’t put my finger on how to ‘sum it up’ in a word… :man_shrugging:t3: (i know this is subjective too, lol)

i dunno, i really like it though… it’s one of the more recent o.d. drops that i took a shine to right away… and it’s been a hot minute for that.
