I love side effects! They add so much to a yo as far as the way they look!
Iāve been gifted 2 sets of side effects from 2 very cool people on these forums. A pair of red and orange flats.
I think my favorites (as far as looks go) are energy domesā¦though flats are hard to beat too imho.
I have black energy domes in my Legendary Terrarian, black spikes in my 5000QV, red flats in my green/orange Deep State and black and green flats in my green/black Deep State (on opposite halves for a cool contrast).
I also had a super cool looking black/orange Deep state with black and orange flats on opposite halves that I helped gift to someone a couple of months back.

Energy Domes are my least favorite. They are big and heavy and they remind me of those stupid Devo hats.
I know that ultra-lites donāt look like much, but they have the benefit of not adding so much weight to the center, which is the most important thing to me. Except when it comes to small yoyos like the Parlay, where the extra weight of a spike side effect is kinda welcome and they give the Parlay a sweet retro look.
The biggest problem with ultra-lites, in my view, is the limited colors they come in. I really would love to have them in orange and teal, but I donāt think Iāll ever see that happen (I know orange happened once in the past, but nobody seems to actually own any.)

Thanks man. The colour is pretty swarve. Itās the 1st G2 Iāve thrown and itās smooth. But hasnāt blown me away. Iām happy to have it as I had it at a great price off a great seller in the UK @Joe1986 threw in a load of extras too thanks bud. My 2 faves at the mo are the monkeyfinger conspiracy and the knight and gale. And everything else pales in comparison to these two.

Honestly, the Banshee didnāt blow me away either, but the Banshee SS, Reaper, Covenant and Arbiter are currently 4 of my 5 most used throws ATM. The quality of G2 throws are amazing.
But itās time for me to try something else. My next throw is going to be something from MFD, or one of a number of organics that interest me.

Yeah Iām in the middle of doing a deal for a covernant in pink.
MFD have a drop coming shortly bud with new ano and they look amazing ull have to be quick mind they donāt hang about. Conspiracy or 2 evil

Energy domes add roughly an extra 1g to the weight of a yoyo compared to ultra-lites. This wouldnāt be so bad (or even very noticeable) if that extra gram of weight was evenly distributed across the entire yoyo, or better still pushed out to the rims. But it is entirely located in the center, which is exactly the opposite of where I would want any extra weight.

Orange is UX format. Green is stuff iām playing with. A bit thinner but still a strong core to it. The single is GLOW. Enjoy!

Interesting interpretation. I didnāt even make that connection.
Goes to show you that you canāt predict how others will interpret an image or a sentiment, nor should you necessarily try (unless it is incredibly obvious, which in this case I would argue it wasnāt since even I didnāt pick up on it until you oriented my thinking in that direction).
