Yeah it feels more like to 45.8 that 44 to me.
Ah @chaosgow confirmed a few days ago here that the YYE figures are the correct ones.
Also the float is a lot more floatier in my opinion from the experience of trying all 3. It actually is basically half way between a float and a monocle as the blurb suggest.
I think the most accurate description would be powerful but light?
Float is more like āfloat like a butterfly sting like a beeā haha.
Iāve slowed down on picking up yoyos in the past year or so but got my first for 2020 haul - Delrin Gamer, YoyoFriends Dove, Turning Point Diamond Virgin, and YYF Skyline.
I do have to say I am initially impressed with how Rain City packed their Delrin Gamer and gave us options to tune the yoyo to how we want it with different bearings and pad thicknesses. My sweet spot was 1 thick pad, 1 thin, and the slim bearing.
Skyline feels nostalgic, like 2010 era YYF when 50mm was the norm and hubstacks were cool. That was around the time I had discovered modern yoyoing after a long break. The Turning Point visually reminds me of some of the YYJ models with its broad shiny rims, power of a full size throw in a small frame. Also needed to further scratch that undersized itch. Lastly, the Doveā¦man this thing is smooth, grinds for days (if a yoyo was made out of a wet bar of soap and you tried to grind it, this would almost be it).
Satisfied with this haul for the new year
Ermā¦ what about an insatiable love for the color green? Asking for a friend.
The Turning Point Diamond Virgin is so good!! I was surprised it got so little attention on the forums; itās what the OneDrop Clique should have been. I donāt think many people realize this is a bimetal undersized throw, same diameter as the GeneralYo Mini Star 2 in fact which also is an amazing throw in its own right.
Green? Did I hear green?
Where!! MUST HAZ MOAR GREEN!
PFFFT! Iām not addicted man! Okay? Look here, Iāve not problems okay?
I justā¦
JUST 1 MORE GREEN! I JUST NEED 1 MORE!!
PLEASE!
I too have decided to not buy as much as I did last year, but then I bought 3 in the last week soā¦ Not sure how well thatās going to goā¦
my only undersized throw is the Quash, (itās my favorite yoyo) and itās not even that much smaller lol. but itās super fun
Is that YWET?
If you donāt mind, how much mint ywet goes these days, man?
Itās a bape 2ā¦ Iāve seen them anywhere from $125-175 in mint condition.
One sold on here for $125 a while back. Paid a little bit more for mine.
I seeā¦ iām a total novice when it comes to anti-yo
People going crazy over anti-yo recently. Everybody looking for anti-yo. And i really have no clue why anti-yo is so hypeā¦
Are you saying that the dove can grind? Iāve wanted a grindable plastic for a long time, as I have some tricks that utilize them and I usually canāt do them when Iām throwing plastic.
Delrins are smooth. Itās not like normal 20$ plastics, itās machined not molded.
iāll speak for myself - i canāt for anyone else - the anti-yo throws tend to have an āorganicā shape to them, which is what i prefer to play on, and appears popular in some circles right now. this applies to the canvases (also very popular right now) the a-rt line, etcā¦ thatās why iām digging them up.
So Huatian (the brand that made the Rotor. That slimline that sold out almost everywhere) have this awesome little undersized bimetal with a fantastic engraving on it
As you see it has this little lock tie or whatever so I guess you could prove it is still never thrown if you are a collector who eventually trades or resells.
It comes with all these goodies. A pin, stickers, extra padsā¦ I did not get a string with it though lmao. But that is no big deal
Than it even has this card with its specs
It is also calledā¦
āBansheeā lol. Dont confuse it with the G2 Banshee. This is an undersized bimetal. I have given it about 30 minutes of play today and really like it. The engraving is not great to fingerspin on but thats my only negative opinion. Its light enough to not feel like a bricky undersized throw. Its very stable and one of the smoothest yoyos I purchased.
it depends, I approached this world in 2008 and since then I have sold one and only one yoyo ā¦
They remain in my collection also yoyo which I find disappointing.
That looks killer
