well said.
ā9/30ā is it titanium or something?
Itāll be sold exclusively on the YoYoExpert store! Only 30 ever produced and each one individually numbered out of 30!
Yeah, I guess it makes sense. Looks like a really nice Al yoyo, but so special it needs a little numbered certificate? Perhaps it is, Iāve never thrown one. People do love the goodays.
Yeah I mean all I know is I really like it lol Iām still in the honeymoon phase with it I guess but I seem to like it more the more I throw it. Iām not as well versed in YoYos as most of you but Iāve personally never throw a yoyo as smooth as it at itās weight and width.
I believe you, the reviews are great. Its on my wish list, which is quite extensive at the moment. Im back into throwing after a loooong hiatus, so have some catching up to do. I`m very courious about the final version of the Mamba 7068, love the shape of the proto.
Iād even argue the necessity to number Ti yoyos lol, but I must admit it adds a certain aesthetic that z lot of people find appealing.
Yeah I have no problem being the example in this case.
Let me know what you think I have it on my wants list.
I like it a lot so far. Its strong suits are probably being comfortable to hold, reasonably wide, and very stable. It is also pretty light. I have never played a Float but its kinda how I imagined one would play. The finish grinds super well too.
Do you have anything 44mm wide you can compare its width to? YYE specs list 45.85 but the blurb says 44. That honestly affects how much I want it.
Itās actually really easy to figure out the width based on the height using simple measurements of the image. I do it all the time accurate to within roughly .2mm.
I just measured the width of the Absurdity, assuming the height is correct, itās ~45.8mm wide.
Awesome
Yeah it feels more like to 45.8 that 44 to me.
Ah @chaosgow confirmed a few days ago here that the YYE figures are the correct ones.
Also the float is a lot more floatier in my opinion from the experience of trying all 3. It actually is basically half way between a float and a monocle as the blurb suggest.
I think the most accurate description would be powerful but light?
Float is more like āfloat like a butterfly sting like a beeā haha.
Iāve slowed down on picking up yoyos in the past year or so but got my first for 2020 haul - Delrin Gamer, YoyoFriends Dove, Turning Point Diamond Virgin, and YYF Skyline.
I do have to say I am initially impressed with how Rain City packed their Delrin Gamer and gave us options to tune the yoyo to how we want it with different bearings and pad thicknesses. My sweet spot was 1 thick pad, 1 thin, and the slim bearing.
Skyline feels nostalgic, like 2010 era YYF when 50mm was the norm and hubstacks were cool. That was around the time I had discovered modern yoyoing after a long break. The Turning Point visually reminds me of some of the YYJ models with its broad shiny rims, power of a full size throw in a small frame. Also needed to further scratch that undersized itch. Lastly, the Doveā¦man this thing is smooth, grinds for days (if a yoyo was made out of a wet bar of soap and you tried to grind it, this would almost be it).
Satisfied with this haul for the new year ![]()
Erm⦠what about an insatiable love for the color green? Asking for a friend.
The Turning Point Diamond Virgin is so good!! I was surprised it got so little attention on the forums; itās what the OneDrop Clique should have been. I donāt think many people realize this is a bimetal undersized throw, same diameter as the GeneralYo Mini Star 2 in fact which also is an amazing throw in its own right.
Green? Did I hear green?
Where!! MUST HAZ MOAR GREEN!
PFFFT! Iām not addicted man! Okay? Look here, Iāve not problems okay?
I justā¦
JUST 1 MORE GREEN! I JUST NEED 1 MORE!!
PLEASE!
