Santa came early…and since I have no chimney, he left this little package at my door last week!

Now, because of some clues the size of an elephant that they left…I knew right away who the package was from and what was inside!
It was a gift from @ryanmcg and @MoonageMin for Christmas.

I was gonna be a good boy and wrap it up and put it under my tree for Christmas morning.
But oh no…Ryan and Moon had to be super bad influences on me and totally talked me into opening it early! lol

A couple of Duncan Freehand Zeros along with a Duncan Trick Book.

Holy heck I’ve been wanting to pick a couple of these up. I was lucky to own a couple of the original Freehands in the early 2000’s…and have really wanted to pick up a Zero because it’s molded after the original and it floods me with nostalgia. But I kept putting the purchase off for some reason. Been wanting them for months!

It’s cool as heck that they come in these 2 colors too! They’re absolutely perfect for me! Green because it’s a proven fact that it’s the best color everer times infinity! And orange because my mom’s favorite color is orange.

Decided to make them half-swaps. Another couple of yos I can keep in memory of my mom. :green_heart:/:orange_heart:
…I miss you mom.

This was so freaking cool of you guys. You couldn’t have picked a better gift for me!

Much love to the both of you!

Merry Christmas @twitch77

I can’t take the credit getting you a present was @ryanmcg’s idea.

It did make it easier once I found out what you wanted

Do you mean this one? It’s an indenoendent. Wes made it to be a metal Fhz. It’s a bunch of fun. I believe it takes fhz caps too but I fear never getting them out.

Wes gave me this amazing gift.

Glad someone besides me is saying it. I have the feeling my input may come across as a little biased. No idea why though :upside_down_face:

I’ll admit I was a little skeptical after seeing that it wasn’t a 1 for 1 copy of the WA profile, since the rims are wider and the initial cut from the response area isn’t extended as much. But man the alterations to the rims make it feel so good in hand and on catches.

I said above it’s like a mix between the normal WA and the world champ edition. More specifically it has the pleasant hollow feeling of the normal WA mixed with the more solid feeling and increased power and stability of the WC edition. Definitely no regret of my purchase and I’m looking forward to my eventual purchase of a TiShutter.

Let me add that I’m :zap:SHOCKED :zap: They aren’t sold out. With the YYF, Gentry Stein, Shutter following, this was sure to be an instant classic (I believe it is) I know 350 is an awful lot of wingwangs but it does play/feel like $350 in the hand.

Yeah me too! I seriously thought they’d be sold out in minutes for some crazy reason.

Just checked and there’s still 8 of them available!

That’s awful tempting… But holy crap my wife WOULD kill me. I’ve never even throw a Ti anything, and the TiWangle or reg TiShutter I find most appealing of all the titaniums I’ve seen. I hope I can nab one or the other in the future.

I finally got mine too. It plays so light and floaty on the string. I wasn’t really a fan of the wide angle so I was on the fence about ordering this but, man, am I glad I did. This one is special.

The titanium ring it makes is among the best I’ve heard

For whatever reason there’s not a lot of titaniums that are wider. Most of them seem to be 44mm or less. Most Ti throws don’t interest me at all for this reason.

I noticed, that’s part of the appeal of the TiShutter and TiWangle to me. There’s exceptions, but I prefer throws in the 44-46mm range. I’m willing to risk going outside my comfort zone for $100, but not $300, so my first Ti has to be within my preferred spec range or something I know I’d be comfortable with.

That’s part of why my Vayder doesn’t see as much play as other stuff I own. It’s a great yoyo and I enjoy playing with it every time I take it out, it’s just really small to me. I bought it mostly out of my nostalgia for my time on Vs Newton so it’s going to stay in my collection regardless.
