he has spoken
Santa came earlyā¦and since I have no chimney, he left this little package at my door last week!
Now, because of some clues the size of an elephant that they leftā¦I knew right away who the package was from and what was inside! ![]()
It was a gift from @ryanmcg and @MoonageMin for Christmas.
I was gonna be a good boy and wrap it up and put it under my tree for Christmas morning.
But oh noā¦Ryan and Moon had to be super bad influences on me and totally talked me into opening it early! lol
A couple of Duncan Freehand Zeros along with a Duncan Trick Book.
Holy heck Iāve been wanting to pick a couple of these up. I was lucky to own a couple of the original Freehands in the early 2000āsā¦and have really wanted to pick up a Zero because itās molded after the original and it floods me with nostalgia. But I kept putting the purchase off for some reason. Been wanting them for months!
Itās cool as heck that they come in these 2 colors too! Theyāre absolutely perfect for me! Green because itās a proven fact that itās the best color everer times infinity! And orange because my momās favorite color is orange.
Decided to make them half-swaps. Another couple of yos I can keep in memory of my mom.

Merry Christmas @twitch77
I canāt take the credit getting you a present was @ryanmcgās idea.
It did make it easier once I found out what you wanted ![]()
Merry Christmas, @twitch77!
Those swaps look nice!
Got my secret Santa package today from fb. Truly blown away by the genrousity. Decided to take a family photo while I was at it.
Sweet! Whatās the Green?

Thanks for everything guys.
Do you mean this one? Itās an indenoendent. Wes made it to be a metal Fhz. Itās a bunch of fun. I believe it takes fhz caps too but I fear never getting them out.
Wes gave me this amazing gift.
Thatās so cool! Iāve never heard of it beforeā¦and that half-swaps is beautiful!
Glad someone besides me is saying it. I have the feeling my input may come across as a little biased. No idea why though ![]()
Iāll admit I was a little skeptical after seeing that it wasnāt a 1 for 1 copy of the WA profile, since the rims are wider and the initial cut from the response area isnāt extended as much. But man the alterations to the rims make it feel so good in hand and on catches.
I said above itās like a mix between the normal WA and the world champ edition. More specifically it has the pleasant hollow feeling of the normal WA mixed with the more solid feeling and increased power and stability of the WC edition. Definitely no regret of my purchase and Iām looking forward to my eventual purchase of a TiShutter.
Let me add that Iām
SHOCKED
They arenāt sold out. With the YYF, Gentry Stein, Shutter following, this was sure to be an instant classic (I believe it is) I know 350 is an awful lot of wingwangs but it does play/feel like $350 in the hand.
Yeah me too! I seriously thought theyād be sold out in minutes for some crazy reason.
Just checked and thereās still 8 of them available!
Thatās awful tempting⦠But holy crap my wife WOULD kill me. Iāve never even throw a Ti anything, and the TiWangle or reg TiShutter I find most appealing of all the titaniums Iāve seen. I hope I can nab one or the other in the future.
I finally got mine too. It plays so light and floaty on the string. I wasnāt really a fan of the wide angle so I was on the fence about ordering this but, man, am I glad I did. This one is special.
The titanium ring it makes is among the best Iāve heard
For whatever reason thereās not a lot of titaniums that are wider. Most of them seem to be 44mm or less. Most Ti throws donāt interest me at all for this reason.
I noticed, thatās part of the appeal of the TiShutter and TiWangle to me. Thereās exceptions, but I prefer throws in the 44-46mm range. Iām willing to risk going outside my comfort zone for $100, but not $300, so my first Ti has to be within my preferred spec range or something I know Iād be comfortable with.
Thatās part of why my Vayder doesnāt see as much play as other stuff I own. Itās a great yoyo and I enjoy playing with it every time I take it out, itās just really small to me. I bought it mostly out of my nostalgia for my time on Vs Newton so itās going to stay in my collection regardless.
Ti-Monster Edge, just sayinā
