What did you get in the mail, 2025?

I have sent out maybe 4-5 temp tattoos to folks with yo-yos and wrote “tattoo” on the back of it but you are the first to comment haha. I figured most people assumed sticker and didn’t check the back. I can’t wait to see if it works on a yoyo.

Love it. Honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of stainless steel throws at first, but it grew on me. Plus the size of most steel throws are my jam.

Does it feel the same as OG?

They look great!
Are they fixed axle or do they have bearings?

They truly do. I went for them mainly for the looks and the novelty but they actually do play really nice as well.
They have the same hub system installed as the POM Spingadget…

They run a flat D-size bearing and play modern responsive I’d say. The response is really nice and smooth. Longer string tricks (and even some whip and slack stuff) are possible while still getting it to respond with a tug. I’d compare the response to the Duncan Al Butterfly (although that one has a C-size bearing in it). You could put a bearing blank (like the ones ZGRT made) in them and play them fixed axle style. I have another one with a centering bearing in it and that one plays completely unresponsive. All in all a pretty versatile and fun throw. The weight is just right. The bamboo one has immense Puls vibe though due to the structure of the wood. On the site they even labeled it non playable. They threw in some extra halves and I weight them to get two (almost) matching ones. It still has vibe but it is definitely playable. The blue Spectraply one has only a small amount of vibe which comes pretty naturally with wooden throws.

Got the pair of brothers, nickel and copper plated Joyrides. These were my first joyrides and they are awesome. Super nice on the catch and the d bearing in the copper keeps it super snappy.

They were released on April the 4th if I remember correctly. They split the drop over two days and on both days the assembled Spectraply ones went pretty fast. Last time I checked they still had just the halves in stock. You’d have to buy the hub system separately but they are also still available and it amounts to the same price as for the assembled ones. If importing is an option for you I’d say definitely go for it. The price is also pretty fair I’d say.
