How so? They seem like polar opposite. And not sure if you’ve tried the DS-61, but that is amazing. Stable, very long spin time, fast, and light. Not sure if that was supposed to be the successor, but OD nailed it imo

He has been putting out some designs lately that are killer for 0A in my opinion.

My personal favorite is this one. If you ask him to make you a custom throw, shaped like this, with a Diameter of 2.35 inches and a width of 1.3 inches, and a tight 2 dime gap, you will not be disappointed. It will be a player.

I don’t think they’re polar opposites at all lol

They’re both wide rim-weighted yoyos and occupy similar niches

The thruline was good, and I vehemently defended it, but it’s lacking compared to other yoyos in its niche (Wilderness, Evolve, Ultracut). The main problem is its shape and the large diameter.

Rainier fixed the shape and the diameter isn’t as big so it’s a more comfortable yoyo. Also the SE’s are cool.

For small hands*

Biggerish diameter is usually comfier for me bc i got some fat ham hands fwiw lol

I’ve got pretty small, but very long hands—I can’t really hold anything comfortably. :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

I’ve got big and long hands disproportionate for my height.

Anything smaller in diameter has to be a bit wide for me to grip comfortably, and anything over like 56 in diameter gets uncomfortable past like 44mm width.

Of course it’s also highly dependent on shape.
