First impression: super comfortable on the throw and catch. Added some clear spikes to the order, and it’s a good look.

I purchased this maple yoyo from the big box store in the cloud. It is actually an experiment. It throws well and feels good in the hand. It feels a little heavy and seems very dense. Not bad for $6.
I would LIKE a blank yoyo for Tom Kuhn, possibly custom etched. I’m working on it. Small runs are the problem.
I am looking for a yoyo to give as an award for a writing competition. I have logo art and a couple of lines of text I was laser etched on the sides. So far, I have had little luck with commercial laser etching companies. I am considering the purchase of a laser etching machine…

What are your first impressons of it? Ive loved every other JB release and will probably cop this as well.
They’re a few years old at this point (unless they made new ones).

If you already like his yo-yos you’re going to enjoy this. It’s kind of like a smaller diameter chunk. I wasn’t sure where I’d land with it before I played it as I generally don’t like smaller diameter stuff. But I honestly don’t even notice it when playing.
The base dunk shape and the approach to his releases is just so genius I could talk about it for 20 minutes straight.
There’s supposed to be another drop this month too so you should have an opportunity.

On the goods pod he said hes looking to get some cerakoted, and i love the cerakote chunk I got, so ill probably end up picking up a cerakote dew if he does them
