Yozean came through and the second Schwimmpanzer I ordered (but was missing from the original package) was just delivered and very quickly. Super excited to try them out as a pair! Also included extra strings and an extra set of pads so that’s very awesome!

Does it have hollow feel like capped metal yoyos?

It’s KILLLLLER. Top 5 for me.

And the MG has completely blown my mind. there’s nothing else like it to be honest

Eh it’s fine ig. Super super rim weighted and heavy so feels kinda wild but also like shrug. Idk you can get used to the weight and I’m not a speed demon anyways. spins forever and is ridiculously stable. Pros and cons. Definitely not a yoyo i would prefer to use for 1a but probably op for learning new tricks and leaving the yoyo just sit in a mount while you double check the tut. Kinda just too heavy to zontal with comfortably. Prefers thinner string bc of the more narrow gap and i will say i was enjoying that part of it. Helped to get those rpms up off the throw. It’s fine like idk. I also didn’t play it all that much 1a but could still do all my tricks pretty much. I definitely bought these to play 3a with.

try this method, get a fat type string and stretch it multiple time until its firm and non bouncy. Tie a know and enjoy throwing.

trust me this fixes my issue on using narrow gap yoyos like 4.2mm and its pretty simple.

I always pre stretch my strings and just enjoy thinner strings. Especially with a yoyo like this. If i was dead set on fat i could also fool with the response but idk mostly i was killing time waiting for the second to arrive. I will definitely be using fat for 3a bc the strings are so much shorter.

no, i dont think it feels like a capped yoyo at all. i did read Jeff’s blog about his design notes, i think its more representative of being a capped yoyo by technicality. it just feels like a well balanced yoyo, not super rim weighted like the usual bimetal, but not too floaty like a mono. its somewhere in between.

Ohh that’s good to know!
Hopefully the 2nd one will arrive soon for your next sesh

Would you say it feels anything like an old-school heavy rim weighted yoyo? I love the feel of those.

Kinda like the old Dif-e-yo’s with the big rubber weight rings.

Ooof I couldn’t tell you bc I haven’t had the pleasure of trying any dif e yo yoyos yet. I think it’s safe to assume these are even more rim weighted though bc it’s a bimetal so even more concentrated at the rim. Feels min/maxed at 80gs so pretty intense.

Well, I rarely do the same trick twice. I’m usually making things up on the spot.

Would you, or would you not recommend this yoyo to me?

I recommend you get two for 3a lol. You prolly mean for 1a though and eh I don’t know, you sound super curious. If you wanted one for 1a, they’re only 40$ so even if you hate it, not that much of a loss really.

I guess I’m really just wondering because it’s visually sublime!

I think I’ve got it figured out, Henry.

I’ll get one for Christmas, and then if I hate it-- I get another one and pick up 3A!

The Canopy PC’s have landed! I am the hugest fan of this line of yoyos man.

Guess you could even say I’m a Fanopy.
