I was actually editing my post as you posted, to mention this exact yoyo
you bring up a fair point
My way of thinking may just be wrong but I think it’s worth bringing up.

Are you in the US? I ordered mine April 3rd, shipped April 18th, still waiting on mine.
MoNo series is just weird, because to only call them a Peak clone is missing the point. They’re only using the general design of the Peak as the body to hide the weight distribution of other yoyos within. Whenever people bring up the MoNo series I feel like I rarely see the several of other inspirations they use for their weight distro/profile design being mentioned, just people saying they’re Peak clones because of aesthetics.
It feels like people just ignore weight distribution, and only care about aesthetics in regards to copying being an issue. If a yoyo has a weight distribution directly ripped from another yoyo, but the yoyo visually looks different, then nobody has an issue with it. But if they have entirely different weight distros while visually looking similar, people will call one of them a clone.
See: straight V shaped bimetal being called a Draupnir clones, regardless of if they play even remotely similar to a Draupnir at all.
If something is getting ripped off wholesale in every facet, to where it’s essentially a bootleg, then yeah there’s an issue. But nothing wrong with just making small runs of your re-interpretations of existing yoyos. Yoyo design evolves through iteration.
I’m waiting for AI-generated yoyos that look like Peaks and Draupnirs and Shutters to start crawling out of the woodwork.
Could it be that….maybe….just maybe….people don’t know what they‘re talking about?
Ok… to be fair, I will give you 3 days to come up with 1827 different hypotheticals to consider…
What I said about Bruce and what you suggested have absolutely no correlation whatsoever.
It was very accurate of you to say ‘this is no gotcha moment’. You got that right, lol.
Hahaah yea serious power it has i heard. Try them all lol
its not allowing me to respond to your post idk why…
but it let me type that
idk anymore but you win
I didn’t win…. And you didn’t lose…
We just have different viewpoints.
I had something to add, started writing an essay, then realized this would be something fun to make a video about.
But like, design isn’t simple lol.
Nothing new in the mail unfortunately, waiting on things tho I think for review
I’m only at 600 hypotheticals I may need more than 72 hours.
I was a bit tipsy last night and responded stupidly ( as if most of my posts on yye aren’t stupid)
But I still think it’s something to be talked about. Would you be interested in moving this to dms or creating another thread dedicated to yo-yo design?
Back on topic: mail call
Got a bunch of stuff over the weekend. The Raider I got as an add on to get free shipping somewhere else. The green light up thing was a party favor from my sons friend and I took it to add a new string cause my son decided to slam it around a tree snd broke the string within a few minutes.
The cheatcode and other offset stuff finally arrived honestly cheatcode is a tad disappointing on performance but it’s pretty awesome for finger spins. I’ll probably keep it in a bag I take with me so I can pull it out and do an east DNA of some kid asks or something. (Less chance to fumble or miss the trick live)
also got the Silenus in the mail for the pay it forward snd have been having a blast with that while I have it.
Let’s see if we can add that picture this time lol
This Grasshopper GTX 2.0 is a real stunner, beautiful throw that absolutely rips! Also fresh 100 pack of Kitty First Class Fat in white.
Does it play a lot lighter than the OG GTX?
Never played the original, but this plays lighter than I expected it to. Very balanced, kinda floaty, crazy stable, super fun overall
I received my Grasshopper GTX 2.0 today and I don’t like it as much as the 1.0. It just doesn’t have the intangible magic of the original, IMO. Plus, for some reason, the pads on mine are super slippy (compared to all my 1.0 'hoppers).
