Interested in your comparison of these two. I debated on whether or not to put this in the “Unpopular Opinion” thread, but I find the Speedaholic to be better than the 000 which is a lot different shape. Not that the 000 is bad, but if I’m choosing, the Speedaholic gets the nod. Definitely not a popular opinion atm.

Someone else did a review on the 000, and I thought it was spot on., including that it’s super smooth and fun. They used the word “empty”, though, to describe the feel, and I think that is what makes me like the C3 more.

Spinworthy Burly. Love this wood and the finish, Glen.

Can I totally agree with you on this? Also there is anything to be offended, we not speaking about copy but just comparing as them are similar shape and it’s a fact.

I have both of them like you, the differences I noticed for now (I received the Pheasant yesterday), the Pheasant feel much lighter on the string and when you throw it, I feel that the Recognition carries it’s weight differently and make it feel more heavy (still not in a bad way I love the Recog), in the other side the Pheasant seemed much more slippy on the binds compared than the Recog.
The Recog to me seems to have some more spin time and some more power probably cause the weight but the Pheasant is great for long hours of playing session, I did liked the Pheasant a bit more in horizontal playing, much more stable and fast.

Both in my opinions are great yoyos honestly and I like both of them, I think in my opinion the Yoyofriend can be used more in a setting of a contest where you do your setup routine hit and run it has everything you need and the lighter feeling probably helps you to speed up, the Recog is great to create combos cause the spin time (but I can also see it in a contest routine)

The differences in my opinion are not that much, I would say to someone undecided between the 2, the Pheasant is lighter and the Recog is heavier on the string as biggest difference.

Other than that I would say that everyone should have one of those in the collection, such great and reliable throws in the technical side, them are really able to push every trick you propose.

Good to read your thoughts on the two side-by-side.

How is the moonrock finish holding up?

Seems fine for now, I even tried the risky thing to open it up cause a knot I wasn’t able to take it out with the little tool and seems I have been lucky with my model.

Have to add that is one of my most favourite finishing ever, more than the colour is the feeling on the hands, it is soooo smooth is unbelievable, while I am not someone that does lot of grinds I do like much more yoyo with a smooth finish, sometimes you are doing a combo and it happen that the yoyo touch your hand briefly with a smooth finishing it seems nothing is happened while with other type of finishing sometimes it slow down the rotation or even change a bit direction of the yoyo.

Wow, so cool to see. Dont see many Octavias floating around these days. I remember printing those photos when I lived in Prague!

Speedaholic XX is hard to control but is absurdly fun. Fulvia is easier to control and is more my speed. Both are great choices for their price.

Another good mail day. I got a 1964 Duncan Bo-Yo Amflight for 10.50 on flebay, shows some wear but no cracks and feels solid. Not to bad for 59 years old. A little cleaning up and it should look nice.

Also received a One Drop Aitch first run in the Horse Head colorway I purchased from @The_SLAB.

last mail day for the foreseeable future (unless i come across a very cheap collapsar lol)

two excellent undersized yoyos, a dreamland in a trade and a sparrow from a friend. i used to play with a skyline a lot back in the day so i’ve always had a soft spot for undersized yoyos. the performance on the dreamland is insane. sparrow feels great so far. the colours on these are both so nice too.
