I’m using the red one with the Lil Beeb counterweight that came with it for some 5A responsive play. The black one I’m using for regular 0A play. I did put some SuperLube in the black one for a more snappy reliable response.
Enjoy! Shame I never got to play with it.
Give it the love it deserves.
Thanks for picking one up @Buzz i love this YoYo!
How is it?
I’m in the Lakewood/Tacoma area.
I used to live there. Man the 70s. That was before I left for Panama. Fort Lewis as I recall. Good times.
I’m not far from fort Lewis. My house rattles fairly often from the big booms. I live closer to the range, near Steilacoom. Which is better than being close to the McChord airfield flight path. you should’ve invested in land back then. You’d be a millionaire for sure. It’s changed a lot since I moved here in 94.
Got my Thing today
Doc Pop’s The Thing.
USPS did a number on the package, thank the YoYo gods it came through unscathed.
My last two maildays. MCMO and YYR Bae.
I am a huge sucker for the MCMO and the combination of silver/blue so this one was a no brainer for me.
The Bae is my first YYR and I bought it because I really liked the shape and look and also wanted to try out the brand. So far I like it. Feels smaller and plays lighter than I thought. Production-quality is above anything I have ever seen on a yoyo. Especially the finish of the surface is quite astonishing. It is wether beat-blastet nor shiny but has a microscopic circular structure on the body and the ss-rings (like the OD terrarian but way more finer). What I don’t like are the binds which are a bit slippy but maybe the pads need some more time to break in.
I’m so confused by the background. It looks perforated but also looks like concrete.
It’s a light blue shop towel that comes in a roll. I drape it over my computer screen and desktop. Unfortunately the lighting is not as good so I will probably retake the picture when I get home.
I received my Doc Pop version of The Thing. Thank you @DocPop and I love them. Talk about perfect setup, this is it. Love stickers, strings and counter weights. Amazing
Ayye! I know another in dupont area. We need a meetup
Yeah that would be great. I haven’t met anyone else in the area yet. But I bet if we planned a meet up, people would show up. I know there’s several people in the Portland and Seattle areas.
