I got my Krapfen and some concave metric bearings to throw in my old ILYYs, and to send some to @suspense and @cayce for their old ILYYs. Some of the old ILYY models still hold up amazingly well with flats (Lio/Torino), while certain others feel like they want a bit of extra assistance (E1ns/Josy-Ann) to keep up with modern tricks without being overly-demanding of the player.
Krapfen is super cool, feels like a midway point between the Lio and Josy-Ann. It doesn’t have the power and heft of the Lio, but the lower walls and beefed up rims let it outplay the Josy-Ann for days while keeping the same light and fluffy feel on the string. The profile rim curve near the edge that rounds all the way into the cup gives an immaculate hand feel. It’s wide enough, with an open enough trapeze width that you’ll never feel challenged by it. And has enough juice that you’re not left questioning why it doesn’t have “more” to it. It falls squarely into the category of “pure yoyo.” No frills, it’s a basic yoyo. It’s baseline in every regard. In the same way people enjoy the Panorama as a go-to “basic yoyo”, I think the Krapfen hits all the same notes.

Banshee 22 in Berry Storm! By far the floatiest and widest feeling Banshee I’ve played. Absolutely love it so far. Plays quick, but feels so laid back.

Anglam mgss today, probably the best mgss yoyo out right now. Compared to the alnilam and death robot this feels the best. It has a little more power than the death robot but less than the alnilam. I do wish this had the death robot coating though.

Couldn’t be happier with the Janus. The perfect EDC throw. I’ve put in a full spec C-Bearing. Sorry for interfering with your vision having it play responsive @jeduardo but this little slimline throw is ridiculously stable for what it is and it’s just so much fun and it feels so rewarding landing string tricks with it. This Yo-Yo will always be in my pocket when leaving the house (I hope it won’t accidentally land up in my washing machine someday 
).
The Nude Trump is nostalgia pure with a smooth play feel and feel in the hand.

Great yoyo. Thanks everyone in the topic I made asking for help to find a new yoyo. I like it a lot. One random thing…did anyone else notice the string it comes with smells like it was sprayed with cologne?

I believed they laced it with fabcon, I have mine on my string archive since 2018 and its still smells good until this day.
