What did you get in the mail, 2022?

Something about this guy isn’t clicking for me, at least not yet. Comparisons to the Grail got me to buy, but I don’t think the Creep bears all that many similarities beyond the profile shape, which is not as comfortable or good-looking in my opinion. I’ll give it a week of daily use before writing it off, but I just don’t see a good reason to pick this up over my other Peak lineage yoyos right now.

I always thought the creep was closer to the life than the grail.

sorry you’re not feeling it.

i just got a creep yesterday and I love it. feels great to me. i don’t have a grail to compare it to nor have I heard of the comparisons so I didn’t have a preconceived notion of how it should be. i just thought it looked great, had a great looking organic profile and it’s made by CLYW, so I picked it up.

i hope it grows on you.

enjoy the throw my friends

I don’t think it was too much of a letdown as I didn’t expect it to feel exactly like a Grail, the comparison was just the hook that got me to buy. I’m more disappointed because I am struggling to figure out what makes this unique. The Grail, Lynx, Koi, and Saboteur all have very distinct features going for them - size to weight ratio and weight distribution, aesthetic and string feel, low price point while using high grade alloy, and a unique schmooved highwall, respectively. The Creep is just sort of somewhere in the middle in most respects. Maybe that’s what people like about it.

And yeah, the Life might be a better comparison what with the Creep’s profile step before the schmoove. Reminded me vaguely of the MCMO as well.

Makes me feel better about not picking one up. I wasn’t a big fan of the Life

Was tempted to get the black one, but this purple on a green string is amazing looking. Plays great, just the right amount of response out of the box.

beautiful throw =]

With you mentioning the black one, I went and just bought one. I have the purple one already and have been wanting another. It’s such a wonderful throw. I thank you for posting, but my wallet does not . @Siggy-06

You guys talking about original Superblack, or was there a black Finger Spin version released that I somehow missed?

The one is just got is for the original Superblack Weekender. Probably since I’m newish Patreon supporter, it became available. Not totally sure. I’m glad though since my purple one has the finger spin hubs. Now if they would just release the Daytripper or Pop Art again.
