my gear oil is hard enough not to rub but my ultra blue rubs for a day and turns my string light blue. i usually put a bulk poly on for a few hours first then switch to my normal string

At least I know I made the right call using bulk poly! How long should I expect to last before needing to top it off?

not certain with the red. with gear oil i get months, year or more if it’s not thrown frequently. ultra blue starts feeling a little slippy after a few weeks. i think you can expect a month minimum, but again obv it’ll depend on use
