1st generation Baldwin with fixed axle design (later 2015 had threaded fixed axle hub) from 2013
Found this picture from yoyonews of other variations including walnut and wenge. Turns out the one I am playing is bubinga as the face.
makes more sense for strong amount of spin this fixie has

They look amazing. Can you remove the axle for maintenance or is it truly fixed?
today Oxygene Ozone pre-pro and “its cousin” Nexus Yoyo Style Myron.
The Myron was a project by two Italian youths, friends of Carlo Alberto Menon (Oxygene), it was designed in the Ozone period and was probably designed, based on their indications, by Carlo and the prototypes were made by him with his machinery (Carlo’s father has a company in Rovigo, Titanium, specialized in the processing of this material… just to give information that probably many of you know, when Nigel Mansell won the F1 world championship with Williams in 1992, the Renault engine that car was fitted with titanium valves, made by Carlo’s father).
The relationship between these two yoyos can be seen in the shape of the inside of the cup and in the shape of the ogive-shaped hubs (those of the Ozone made of titanium and inserted by interference into the cup, those of the Myron obtained from the solid part of the cup).
The Myron was born with the intention of being a yoyo designed for 5A and the flaring on its rims were designed to hold the yoyo in this way during the throw.
Both the Myron and the brand Nexus Yoyo Style were actually never born, there are only 10 examples of this yoyo, a first lighter version of 4 examples and a second version with an increased weight of 3-4 g, of 6 examples, one of which is this one.

Blue/champagne is giving bape. S2 is so fun
My gear oil was pretty old and probably expired so the blue half has its stock pad still in while I wait for the new tube of permatex. Thankfully I have some cloudweave micro left so it plays fine as far as snags.

Duncan Haymaker Aluminum. The more I familiarize myself with this one, the more I like it. I did find a yo-yo in my daughter’s collection that feels similar enough. The Recess Triple Double. The Haymaker feels like a highly fine tuned version of this. Lighter in play, will definitely hold up to speed admirably, a tad more narrow, tad smaller diameter but feels very close on the string. I don’t see a lot of talk about either of these but they’re both very good.
