What are you throwing in 2021?

It’s my 25th bday today! Went out for a great lunch with my girl and made sure my yoyo matched my brand spankin new outfit.

Happy Birthday Buddy!
Hope you have a good one - enjoyed the chats we had throughout the last year - plus giving birth to our sibling child :rofl::rofl::+1:

Well, I picked this up for fun. $9 lol.

I actually can’t believe how much fun it is. Plus the sound of the Starburst response!

I have a bunch of popular modern responsive yoyos, but I find the response of them hit or miss.

But this says. I will return giving the slightest opportunity!

B grade Ti-Vayder. codinghorror sold three of them in here shortly after the release for $70 bucks which is likely the most insane deal I’ve ever gotten in a yoyo. It doesn’t vibe by my standards, which tells me that the production ones must be smooth as glass.

It is such a good yoyo.

It does feel like a Vayder day.

Edit: I got some Mazal Top V10 Hybrid bearings in the mail yesterday and threw one in here. Fantastic. The sound is really nice in the Ti as well. Gonna chuck one in my Wanker too.

Changed up my desk pairing. Been rocking the Koi and Weekender at work for a few weeks now. Both of these are super fun and relaxing to throw when I need to take mental breaks at work.

Same. It’s costing me sleep because I can’t put it down.

I may or may not have been up till 1am attempting 1a on it. its the first bearing responsive I have that the bearing is dry enough to get good spin times. all my other bearing responsives are full of grease to get the response snappy enough for 0a, but this one somehow can do both. really excited to try the 3mm wide bearing I have, if i can get the 2.5mm wide one out lol

The thinner the bearing the harder it is to get the tool to grab. Haven’t tried swapping the RBC’s though because I don’t have anything to replace it with. It might be fun to try it unresponsive, but it’s so good as is, that I’m not really motivated. Also, thanks to your post mentioning these tricks, I tried braintwister and split the atom and landed them (I tried the first day and maybe the string or response wasn’t broken in yet and I kept smacking knuckles and failing).

To get the RBC bearing out, buy a cheap 5mm drill bit that has no chamfer on its back end. It will work perfectly.
