I’m playing with this beautiful Antidote from UNPRLD
20 posts were merged into an existing topic: What are you throwing in 2019?
Combined these with the 2019 thread and changed the name to “what are you throwing today?”. Don’t see a need for a new one each year. Its fun to look back years later and see what the current popular throws were.
Topics will auto close when they get too large for the record. So you are sitting on a time bomb.
10,000 replies is the close limit. That’s a little over 3 years at the rate the 2019 topic is going. So in 3 years we open a new one? Don’t really see the problem here.
Probably fine as long as the topic is labelled with the relevant year(s). Note that slower mobile devices will profoundly suffer as the topic gets longer.
I find it’s quite easy to browse topics like this:
- what are you throwing in 2017
- what are you throwing in 2018
- what are you throwing in 2019
versus one kitchen sink megatopic that goes all over the place, makes it hard to have breakpoints, etc. Megatopics are a usability and performance problem.
