What are you throwing 2025?

Diptych with Polyesque Zipline strings

Thanks again @TheSliverKing for introducing me to these highly addictive nylon blends, can’t go back anymore once I’ve tried them

That Kuntosh looks stellar. It almost looks cerakoted.

Is the Diptych comparable to anything else you know of? the cup reminds me of the Cenote, but the shape is pretty different.

Among the ones I’ve tried, it’s comparable to the Canvas and D7. I’ve heard that the Parlay plays similars to the Canvas which means it probably plays similar to the Diptych as well. But I’ve never tried a Parlay, just got one and it’s still on the way to me

It’s what I really wanted originally, a matching purple heart unresponsive/fixie set, but Glen didn’t want to do purple heart for a reason I can’t recall atm. He convinced me we should do a maple set. Then, he surprised me with the purple heart unresponsive and the “mystery wood” (teak) fixie. He of course offered to still do the maple like we had discussed, but no possible way I was letting the PH unresponsive slip through my fingers lol.

And now, thanks to you, the set is complete :purple_heart:

I think if I ever sell all my yoyos, these two will be the very last to go. I plan to pass these on to one of my kids one day, if they decide to get into yoyo.

Side note: if anyone has any other purple heart spinworthy models, and you want to help me make the set grow, holler at your boy! I will trade big in your favor.

Purple heart is definitely one of the prettiest, coolest kinds of wood that exist. And the name is cool!

I’d love to see that tower.

Thank you! It is beatblasted and I think the color is called “Racing Red”. One nice detail is that the blasting on the inside doesn’t go all the way to the bearing. I think OD did that to minimize string friction. I really miss that detail on my cerakoted wyvern.

@exmime not sure if you knew, but if that dri-wet is all original it’s a 1/10 nationals piece. pre-100 piece run version, hence why no heart se. another way to tell (if you have it) the nationals version had a shiny button on the pouch, whereas the regular release had the splattered painted buttons (also found on the ywets). i had both and noticed the differences… i like how shiny yours is too!

I keep it in a plastic wrap in side the case, thanks for the insight, I’ll have to check out my pouch

That looks like it turned out very well! I can’t wait to receive mine.

How well do you like it? I’ve never designed a yoyo before.
