What are you throwing 2025?

G2, Banshee 18 in the unicorn road colour way. This is a great throw, the B18 has a lovely shape and plays very solid on the string.

Can I ask, do they play/feel much different between each version? I prefer not to double up on specific throws but I really like my Banshee 18 and have been thinking of replacing my ti hawk with a tiss banshee but probably wouldn’t bother if the tiss is going to be largely similar to my B18…

Set for morning IL state practice!

Sorry, but unfortunately I don’t know the banshee 18 or the tihawk. All I can say is that banshee 22, AL7 and TiSS feel veeery different from each other for me. The banshee 22 has a ton of float for a v-shape by beeing light an nimble on the other hand. It is in my current top 5 for quite some time. The AL7 is a more battle-ready iteration, more stable and feels heavier on the string. The TiSS feels like a typical premium v-bimetal. It is lighter on the string than the AL7 by beeing more stable but it lacks the float of the BB22. Hope that helps!

Thanks indeed for that detailed reply, that’s exactly what I was hoping to hear! I have an AL7 incoming and was worried it would be redundant to have that as well as a B18 and potentially a tiss as well. Sounds like banshees are a bit like pokemon, got to have them all. @Tomcat one more question, if you don’t mind, is the 22 your favourite one?

Hard to tell, but In terms of pure performance I would say yes. But the feeling of titanium and ss is just… very nice too

Thanks a lot. I can recommend the B18 to add to your collection as well, really like mine!

I should own more G2… that one looks fun.

@cowmamba first I’ve seen these stands. They look like a cool concept. I did something similar with trapping mine on the shelf with trimmed down plastic flossers.

This one plays a little heavier than a lot of modern organics, without having that rock on string feel, and I love that. This will probably become my go-to organic. It’s so good.

As a whole I’ve been impressed with G2. Quality is amazing and the only throws of theirs that I’ve tried and didn’t like came down solely to personal preference. In fact, more often what happens is I think I won’t like one based on the shape/specs vs. what I tend to vibe with and then end up loving it.

Thanks for recommending the 18. It seems like a cool throw, and yours looks killer! I’ll keep an eye out for one and especially the OG version. And then there is the banshee ss, brass-banshee, ti banshee, banshee T52 … I think you’re absolutely right: they’re a bit like PokĆ©mon :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

And I believe that there may be a forthcoming finger spin banshee ss. It never ends :squinting_face_with_tongue:

That’s interesting news! I haven’t heard anything about that yet. Were there any hints about it? I can do some solid finger spins with a pull start on the Banshee-spikes, but a finger spin cup on a Banshee sounds very interesting :+1:t2:
