Was that picture taken on the LIRR?
Also sweet throw, I have one in pink and it’s great.
Atmos Fruitloop
Got this today and I’ve been throwing it.
One thing to be aware is it (at least mine) does cut the string.
This was my string after ~ half hour of use. So be careful.
I’m not sure why manufacture couldn’t just polish the wall a bit…
Yea mine does it too, they do warn of that, I think they say to rub the walls with some leather
I’d always read rubbing them on denim was good for smoothing out the blast a bit.
Haven’t cut a string on mine yet, but we shall see!
Gonna go inspect the string before I throw it today
Yes, lately most my throw sessions are on my commute which is mostly the LIRR.
3 days in so far 5A everyday!
Today’s weapon on the train… T1 by OD
Yes, based on my experience, try denim first, then rubbing on a matte piece of leather would be the next level after denim and then after that, 12000 grit 3M micro mesh sandpaper pads (Micro-Mesh Pen-Sanding Pads - Lee Valley Tools), which is slightly rougher than leather. Depending on what works for you. Best of luck @jjdddn1
Freehand One Al. Slowly getting better at 360s and 720s while generally working on going back and forth between my hands
That pink on the Fat Tire makes me want another one (mine’s mustard yellow :\ ).
Man, I want one of those Sasquatches.
I’m finding that a nylon string holds up quite well compared to a poly, I’m using a zipline executive for context. Not breaking nearly as much
I use those Executive Class Lite on a number of throws - man, they last a LONG time!
Really nice!!
I admire your confidence throwing 5a on a moving train. I won’t throw 5a on a subway platform (where I otherwise normally would) for fear of losing the throw
I don’t actually throw on the platform (unless it’s my beater 5A yoyo) … but the trains have rubber floors and i tend to travel on less crowded times so i have a fair amount of space for this. I wouldn’t throw if the train was crowded.
