When I was throwing back in the 90s, I had several of Dennis McBride’s VHS videos - there was nothing else like them available. Sadly, I believe they all got tossed out sometime in the early 2000s. There are a bunch of videos still out on YouTube last I looked.
My three favorite colorways (for today, at least, as it constantly changes):
Unparalleled Elevation in polished black, Mowl Nocturnal in polished silver, and the Ace Yo Air 2 in shiny red. Can you tell that I’m not working on grinds at the moment?
I think that the black Elevation looks fantastic and it’s totally changed my mind on that colorway. I used to steer away from black, but now I really like it. Plus, it coordinates well with most strings. The silver Nocturnal just looks incredible and it’s such a smooth spinner. It’s one of my best-looking Mowls, maybe because there’s no engraving on it . And the Air 2 feels like it’s made of tissue paper since it’s only 53 grams. That candy apple red always reminds me of Dorothy’s shoes in the Wizard of Oz, and it looks killer with neon green strings.
Took a drive out to Tonto with my brother and dad today. Had a great time crawling some of the trails near Pobrecito. Took the Quiz with me and threw for a bit when we found a spot to eat lunch and get some target practice in.
The Elevation is a really, really good yoyo in my opinion!
Oh wow, I just ordered a bunch of those yesterday. They’re excellent for sure.
Very nice Sir!
Can someone please tell Antman to shrink down to that weird dimension so he can remove these dust shields. I know my vision isn’t what it used to be but damn.
Lol! Why do.you want to remove them? I’m pretty sure it would be near impossible.
My favorite. Powerful and fast. The thing I like the most about it is that being narrow, still feels large when you are playing because of the wide catch zone. Such a great yoyo.
It was becoming less responsive and I wanted to make sure I could get some thick lube in there and it worked once I was able to get those tiny shields off. I got the clips off fairly easily with a magnifying glass and a sharp hobby knife and the air compressor to blow off the shields(worked great).
Lubed up with yo-yo jam thick lube, a new Zipline smoothie, and it’s back to being a smooth responsive masterpiece!
Mono-Metal Monday, fun fact is that Side Effects are made of 7075 AL, so with this 7075 AL StaticCo Sudo with Ultralight SEs and Kitty Classic Regulars, the Aluminum is all the same grade. Sometimes also considered a “Boosted” Parlay.
What a beautiful throw
That Rebirth half swap is rad! Wish I’d thought of that
You cardistry spreads keep getting better by the day! I love your photos. Also the Butterfly Al is dope, nice choice.
Thanks so much!!!
