What are you throwing, 2022?

Well… I rekon its not that important… but on the other hand…

I prefer the Free Solo by far. Just can’t really get into the Rev’s for some reason.

Ti freehand. Still. 5A

I really like the new counter weights, I’ve always been a bouncy ball guy until I found the Steve dice however these new cw’s are finding favor. This one makes it super easy to switch from 5A to 1A on the fly. I like that.

Hit the ceiling last night and slightly scratched it. You can barley tell.

It doesn’t matter what you throw, but throwing is Inevitable.

I love both my Duccs. I don’t throw them enough, but I can’t seem to get rid of them either.

The Ducc v2 feels like it loses power / spin really fast to me. I tried different strings and bearings too. I’m at the point where I stopped blaming the yoyo and figure it’s just me and one day I will improve enough and certain yoyos will begin to amaze me.

I had that same issue until I swapped response pads. Ive got Throwback Shadowpads in mine and they fit JUST below flush, the ones that came with it sat just slightly above the groove. Combined with an OD Flat or VIP bearing, the v2 rips.

That is something I have not considered. I just looked at it and the pads rise a bit too high. Maybe that is killing spin time but I’d expect this to give me killer binds which it does not. I will try another pad on one side to see if it does stick out at all. Thank you.

The pad itself might not be super grippy, but if it sticks up above the groove it will add friction. Just throwing out thoughts there, hopefully you find a solution!

@bheinz63 Wow. I put in 3M pads that I have no idea how I obtained and they DO sit lower and it now plays like a totally different yoyo! I now have tons of speed and really tight, snappy binds. Thank you for the tip. I never looked at the pads since I just assumed… well, lesson learned.

I have that same colorway! its really pretty when it spins. super happy you had the same result I did! I remember being so disappointed at first lol. it lost spin, and was snaggy and slippy at the same time lol

I was more than disappointed. I was fuming! I got it last summer. I did not want to sell it because I did not want someone to feel the same emotions about it that I did. Well, at least the problem is solved. Thanks again!

I asked for a return lol. Only yoyo I have ever returned.

Last time.

Mine does give killer binds. In fact is the string tension is a little off it turns responsive way too easy. I’ll have a look at the pads. That might make a difference.
