Which one of the four do you like the best ?? and does the jds shutter play like the bi-metal shutter when it comes to power and stability ?? I know these questions sound really hard to answer sry
JDS is my favorite shutter! I have the OG, Wide, Bi, and Ti Wide. JDS everytime!
So I went to my local antique store and found an og Duncan imperial from the 1960’s !!! I’m so happy thanks for the idea man
Fantastic find, congrats!
How much did it cost? Is there a different feel in quality to the modern ones?
TiTriton, its a little scary how good it is. Titanium just the feels so good in the hand. Fully understand the Ti hype now. Yoyo is spinning in the photo too lol, its so crazy smooth which kinda surprised me, I always heard of “Ti Vibe” being a thing.
I wasn’t strong enough to only play fixed axle for the month oops. I’ve been keeping the Chief and Survivalist on hand whenever I head out lately. Canadian metal and Australian plastic are the yoyo equivalent of comfort foods. They’re always good.
the colorway on that chief is unreal
I know, It’s way too good. I’m normally so dead set on solid black yoyos but this colorway just hooked me the second I saw it. It almost looks luminous while it spins, and if the sun shines directly on it this finish just glistens.
yeah I probably would have been instahooked on that one myself lol
Thanks !!! I would have never looked at an antique store if you hadn’t done so already
Quarantine, day 2.
It’s beautiful outside, so I’ve prescribed myself a little fresh air. (Its ok, i live in a pretty rural area. Nobody to contact).
Noah and I are going to be just fine through this quarantine.

edit: also, this guy finger grinds like a champ!
So I did a bit more research and it’s a 1960’s Duncan imperial !! The inner wall has an interesting cut near the top of the yo-yo so I’ll post a pic later but most of all It actually feels and plays quite heavier than the modern ones so that was very interesting but it doesn’t sleep for some reason ?? Probably because the string is sooo old and thin but I’ll find out a solution later and it costed me only $10 so it was an absolute steal
Very nice!
