Remember to RSVP because though. There’s been some location changes and another member has been messaging the details to everybody.
ok i was talkin to justin last night and hes still trying to find a place but most places will kick us out
Well, now that we’ve reached 20 people possibly coming we have to find a place that will legitimately accept us. We are a community, so let’s figure out together how to make this meet happen. This huge influx of attendees was unexpected, so we can’t exactly use the WA Convention Center anymore. Sorry about that! Kind of poor planning and execution on my part for not expecting this.
I may be able to get the Miller Community Center to let us in at $5/person, but we need more options. It doesn’t make sense for us to pay for our meets if they’ve been free all this time, and if the competition itself is free! This means that we may change the date of the meet. It’s leaning towards the fact that it will change, actually.
Places we CANNOT USE:
-Seattle Library: We have to book a month in advance. We may be able to use the library for later meets!
-Seattle Center: We are allowed there ONLY during the competition. Around is okay, but it’s cold.
-Westlake Center: We are a hazard to the general public in the eyes of the mall, so we cannot have our meets in there. Been kicked out a few times.
-YMCA: Ran the idea past them, we can’t do it.
-Boys and Girls Club: There isn’t one around here
-University of Washington: Our Student Union Building is down, so we have no access to it at the moment.
If you have any ideas, instead of running them past me just attempt to call the places yourself first. If they will let us in, then let me know and I will let everybody else know! If you can’t or have no idea how to go by contacting the people or places that may work, send me a message.
