Question when doing this trick are we supposed to pull the yoyo through the NTH Chopsticks back onto trapeze or is the yoyo supposed to hop over the thumb to land back into trapeze. I find it very challenging to go through the NTH Chopstick but I’m not sure if that’s even right.
I think your hand goes almost automatically in a chopsticks formation. Like naturally.
It’s a pulling motion with the TH while the yoyo is swinging up towards your chopstick formation of the NTH. I think momentum is your friend on this one…
Was about to edit my answer in order to add that…
Yes but do i go through the C formed by my NTH thumb or do i hop over the NTH thumb…or does it not matter as it’s a style choice?
it goes through the c
Sorry, yes, through the C
This is a challenge! I’ve been trying to improve my Chopsticks forever.
nice! i also have needed chopstick practice. it’s a tough maneuver. you’ll get it! its def a light touch kind of thing on this one. don’t yank it through, just a gentle flow with it
chop suey
@Ironical_Monocle1 momentum was definitely my friend for this. Really helps get the pull through the NTH consistent.
starting to really feel this take. the more i do this one the more im enjoying it tbh
TaW 2025 week #5 Chop Suey
I don’t think I’ll get this any smoother by Friday, so here’s my take:
i came up with a chopstick repeater inspired by this trick a week
wanted to make something more balanced looking with chopsticks on both hands
I’m with others. I don’t like this trick. But here it is:
nice! i like it
Week 6 ADHD
Happy Friday yall! This week is going to be one with an easy setup but somewhat tricky execution.
This is definitely one you have to just commit to the movement. He touches on this in the video I just thought I’d underline it. Also, when hopping back into the triangle, it worked best for me to really make the yo arc up and around. In the video you can see the segment of the string attached to the yo is taught as it swings back to the triangle formation. This was pretty important for me. The less i did this, the lower my accuracy.
Those are my up front tips, but as usual, if you have trouble just ask. Good luck, have fun, and have a great weekend!
Kinda like Ping Pong! Thanks for the hard work you put in. Can’t wait to dig in!
Here’s a slightly harder variation of it where you swing through the triangle with each bounce
