Is it a good idea to buy a whip, popstar, and a protostar?
If you’re already getting the Protostar, I’d give the Whip a miss. You should get a popstar though because those things are just little smile factories =)

the protostar is a great choice! but i think ot would better to get rid of the whip and popstar, and get 1 asteroid and 1 psg. or better yet, one protostar and one trigger!
How about protostar, northstar, and a trigger?

Popstars are awesome. all down to preference.
I would get a protostar, a Di base, and a halo or v that way you get all three materials and three awesome yoyos that perform with anything

I think on this one, you jumped in right as it was reaching it’s natural ending point.
Your idea was actually pretty good though. Plastic, metal, delrin. You did end up going over his budget though. The Halo is $25 over the $30 target for throw #3. I can’t say I disagree with your recommendation. The Halo is awesome.
I guess if you had to go $30 delrin, the YYJ Trigger would be a great choice.
