Thoughts on Atmos Projects Cura?

I’m intrigued by this one but was waiting to see what opinions ended up being. But then, crickets… Anyone played one of these things and have thoughts about it they’d like to share?

I thought it would’ve been more talked about too!
also curious what people think about it, I really like the shape of it

Between Atmos and Canopy it has become to many releases to keep up. Lamina α & β just hit YYE

I have new release fatigue

I have one!

It’s a bit undersized, solid on the string, spins for a good while, and doesn’t like to move too fast. If you like slower and more laid back pacing that rewards good control I think you’d enjoy the yoyo, but personally I like my yoyos to be a bit faster paced and respond better to direction changes.

One of the people involved in the design process is In Hyeok Choi and he uses it in this video:

IMO the yoyo excels at the style presented

@fradiger pretty much hit the nail on the head with how it plays. I feel like it got lost in the sea of new releases like a few people have mentioned. I highly highly suggest picking one up if you’re a fan of a more old school style of throw. I might sound crazy but this thing might be in my top 3. Hits all the boxes for me.

I’m a big fan of Cura. It definitely has that old school feel… that solid metal yo-yo feeling. It has a really cool sound to it too.

The finish is such a smooth blasted feeling that you won’t want to put down.

Yep, the newer Atmos projects’ throws have, what may be, the nicest finishes that I’ve felt!
