has anyone played this? Raw YoYo by Yoyorecreation
I have a Five and it’s fun. but I wish it could be unresponsive. would the Raw play unresponsive with maybe spacers?
It is an A bearing and it looks like the bearing well is pretty sunken in. I think you would need to shim it to enlarge the gap. And use a centering bearing.
Oh but it says the gap width is 4.24mm which is pretty wide for a responsive. The weekender has a gap width of 3mm.
Edit: the gap width of the Five is 3.86mm, so it is narrower then the RAW.
So you could try a clean centering A bearing with it. That might do the trick.
I turned the PopArt into an unresponsive by running it with standard snow tires (which fit flush) and a centering A bearing.
Edit: I can’t find the gap width for the PopArt, plus I made it wider by swapping the stock gamer pads, which sit proud.
My friend made this unresponsive c-bearing 3D printed slim yo-yo. It’s very good. Just wondering if there is a metal version out there. And the Raw looked promising.
The raw is pretty small,
Double or nothing is kind of in that line.
The yye impact is slim like that and uses a c bearing so it can be made unresponsive
Freshly dirty did disks with stems that where really cool and similar concept @Saltman360 might still have a few
Oh yeah duh and this thing is that lol
I can always make more! I actually have a better material now than HDPE when I made the originals.
been using Acetal or (Delrin) to make them now
The polycarbonate still have my vote as looking the coolest of all of them but I think they were (toxic, a pita?) idk I remember they where less than ideal to make lol
I also forgot the el mijo in any of its variants can be a d bearing unresponsive I like the polycarbonate the most personally
So funny! I just created a thread about my new raw.
When I get home I’m going to find a way to remove my Centertrack a bearing from my Heist and pop it in my raw.
I may also try to 3D print some shims while at work today. I had luck getting my shims to fit my deep state so I could either play unresponsive or swap in a half spec for responsive.
I will make the raw unresponsive.

Did it!
So the bearing swap from the Heist made it mostly unresponsive, but it really needs a little more space. The bearing sits down into its seat a little. The spacers I printed were actually too thick to put on both sides, but using one side to center the bearing and screwing on the other side with the spacer got it feeling perfect.
So you were successful in making it play unresponsive? Very cool!
