The "ups and downs" of this kind of business

Hey David!
as some one who wants to start their own business one day(not a yoyo one don’t worry)
What were the few ups and downs of this kind of buisness venture?
like:
Seeing a dedicated niche fan group excited to see the next product?

The rise of your brand?

competing against Chinese manufacturing? (did you know they have a several yo-yo animes/cartoon series in asia might be the reason for the sudden explosion, crazy rite…)

any struggle of starting up or tangles within your journey?

pretty sure some might have had say’d “your is brain twisted for starting a yoyo company.”
sorry for all the puns.

excited to see all the answers with in this topic from everybody.

Yes I would say you have to have a “twisted brain” to want to run your own business. It’s much more difficult than working for someone else because you are responsible for every single thing being done and for making every decision.

The upside that we make a toy for a living and bring joy into the world and have a sense of accomplishment because this isn’t easy. We also get to meet so many cool people and are blessed to have so much support and love.

My two all time best business tips:

  1. everything costs more and takes longer to do than you expect. This is a law of the universe.

  2. you never “arrive”. owning a business is a daily battle and you can’t get complacent.
