The Ti-Vayder Experience

The blue one on the right is my favorite, but they all look awesome!

I really like that look.

What are the plans for these four? Are they going up for sale, or were they special commissions?

I did these for @codinghorror. Not sure what his plans are!

That fourth one just brings back such good memories of skittle splash and yyn. So glad we have you back and have yye. Great work on all of these!

I know right! I was thinking the same thing this morning working on these. SpottedBanana (Alice) and I were working on them together and reminiscing about anodizing in the garage of my last house… Door half cracked open so we didn’t fumigate ourselves lol.

I’m probably the only person whose favorite is the blue one, second from the left. Amazing work, Jason! :+1:

Those are all great but that last one is incredible

I think that swirl is the best thing I’ve ever seen on a titanium, no offense to the other 3. The blue and gold fade is probably my second favorite.

I think the subtly of the blue-gold fade is what makes it the gem of the bunch in my eyes :sparkles:

Hey friends,
Very late to the party but I had my PhD graduation this week, meaning I FINALLY GOT MY TI-VAYDER (it was my grad gift). I’m in LOVE and it was worth the wait. Here it is (it’s #28) with my PhD thesis.

I talked about anodizing it in the past, but the raw titanium is so beautiful, I think I’m going to keep it like this for now.

PS: If anyone is intrigued by my holster - I hand-make these to be tailor-fit for a yoyo and I might be interested in making/selling a small run (maybe 5-10) for peeps who like to EDC their Ti-Vayders. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

Very awesome - congratulations!!

Congrats, Doctor! That’s a heck of an accomplishment. Wish I had the determination for something like that. Shoot I gave up reading the title of your thesis, lol.

I just got to throw mine today. I compared it to my Skywalker and it was so similar I expected to play essentially the same. It actually feels lighter and slightly more floaty to me. It is exactly what I look for for something to just pick up and throw for a couple of hours. You can definetly get some speed out of it, but it is definetly something that can be in no hurry I’m just going to zone out and throw. I may try it with a 10 ball when my order of them comes in simply because I tend to prefer flat bearings in yoyos that I use for chill throwing

Wow, I have just finished reading through all 1,977 posts on this thread, which I think was a feat in itself.

Just wanted to also do a quick shout out to @codinghorror, @HVizier, and @AndreBoulay for making such an undertaking come to life.

Ti-Walker came out after I last yoyo’ed back in 2007 and having only just returned to the scene last week, I missed the hype era of the original. However, reading through these posts, and the price, the story behind this yoyo compelled me to buy one this Sunday, and now I have a grey Ti-Vayder on it’s way to the UK!

Super looking forward to it, and hoping that it will make it easier for me to rock the baby, walk the dog, and even land some trapezes when I get it compared to the Dove I am using currently
I think I read somewhere that the grey one comes with tricks built in.
