If you have a scale, you could choose the two halves closest in weight to ensure at least one of the half swaps play nice

No scale but I guess I could just try until I get a half swap that doesn’t vibe or vibes the least.

Applying simple physics, weight difference between the two halves shouldn’t inherently lead to vibe. It is weight differences around each half that would cause vibe. Think of a top; it’s very asymmetric along the axis of rotation, but spins fine. Half swaps should tilt, and precess (rotate about the string), but not vibe.
Now I would not be surprised if asymmetric half-swaps were more prone to vibe from other effects, but I also was not surprised to see them vibe free.

Not that anyone else cares, but a 6mm axle works fine with a half spec (slim) bearing (it ships with an 8mm axle). Due to the height of the bearing seat, it is difficult to use a typical bearing removal tool to remove a half spec, so I would recommend using the “loosest” inner race you have available. It plays fine responsive for me. I have put back the original bearing for the time being, but I’m glad it’s an option. Maybe I’ll put my full ceramic half spec in it some time…

Of the subtle changes made, I think these two are my favorite. The Vayder looks a fair bit ‘cleaner’ because of it.
