Haha so happy this morning, remember, I’m new at this. This morning I landed the Houdini mount (first time), Buddha’s revenge, cleaned up my Matrix, and finally got the Skin the gerbil! I’m feeling a bit accomplished.
I think what is helping me is that I usually just practice all the basic mounts over and over. You know 1 and a half, double or nothing, trapeze, split bottom…
I’ll catch up to you younger throwers eventually lol
I think I mentioned Seasick earlier in this thread, but I practice it a bunch and although I still louse it up sometimes, when I’ve locked it in, I can “feel” that I’m doing it in a smooth and proper way. I consider that an “I Finally Landed It!” moment.
Last time I posted here, I said I landed suicides. Honestly, I could not pull them off again. It’s a little depressing. I noticed that my trapezes IMPROVED a lot! With that, I breezed through mastering Double or Nothing, Trapeze + Brother, and Houdini Mounts. I had a bit of a hard time with 1.5 side mount but nothing that took more than an hour or two.
Oh yeah! I mastered basic bind on the front mount but could not do it on the side.
Right now, I just landed a Kamikaze Mount but I tend to run out of spin before I am able to dismount properly. So, I have to polish up on that. Once I’m done with Kamikaze mount, I’ll try wrist mounts.

DUDE! I’ve only been going by what this site and other yoyo sites have as far as tutorials. Nothing is as “detailed” as the one you posted. For that, thanks! This would seriously help a lot. I never realized there are this many ways of dismounting from the complex looking (for newbies like me) wrist mount.

Even though I’m way past it in skill level, my Seasick is getting better. I’ve been taking videos of myself doing it and trying to figure out how to make it look right.

Landing Mcbride rollercoaster, semi-consistently after a couple hours practise :).
I got so close to hitting a lunar flip today! I was able to get the cup back there, but it just hit and then fell off.
Not sure if this belongs here, but I wanted to share it anyway.
I’ve only landed a Lunar on my Sumo (which I don’t have anymore) and I’ve never gotten a Lunar Flip. I’m getting close to getting a Lunar on my Shenzhu though.
