The "I Finally Landed It!" Thread

Played a ton of off string today I perfected the form on my bind and learnt
Leg orbit
Suicide
Cross arm catch
Sky bind
Overhand whip
Thumb start
How to catch more consistently
And pop up, let go of string grab string again and catch( for catching between legs and such)

Definitely a good day

One day? That’s crazy… although those are fairly easy tricks, it’s pretty good for one day

FIIIINNNAAALLLLYY landed Spirit Bomb after 4 days of practice!!! ;D ;D ;D

Just today it took me about thirty minutes or so and I landed Haddock Variation. It will make an awesome addition to my arsenal of tricks!

Christopher Chia’s Gorilla Hidemasa Hook

Pretty happy that I’m finally starting to land jade whip. Have gotten semi-consistent with iron whip, but jade was escaping me for a long time.

My first decent chopsticks combo, yeaaa buddy ;D

Now, make a tutorial! Haha.

Just landed the horizontal finger spin with bind. Took a long time to get the bind because if you allow too much slack before you whip the string around the yoyo sucks it up and wraps on your finger(s) or hand.

Yup, can’t let’r droop, Nikolai!

Landed Yuuki Slack. It’s horrible right now. Absolutely horrible to behold. But I’ll clean it up.

Landed Spirit Bomb perfectly last night. Still working on being able to land it on the regular.

Just landed Ogi’s Halo.

or not really. didn’t complete the final behind the back swing, but was able to replace that with a clockwise suicide.

In one day I learned pac man and a double wrist whip

This thread needs a “props” button so that instead of posting, I can click a button and Harryhillz would know I was applauding his progress.

Thanks greg

Yesterday and Today:

4A: Fingerspins, Open String Bind, Bounce Catch, Hand Start, Thumb Grind, Stop&Go, Ghost, and everything up to start of Advanced

1A: Finally got motivated and learned Ladder Escape and White Buddha so ive completed the trick list here after 1 yr and 1/2 a month of yoyoing haha

Congrats! Very nice.

Trapeze, and ALMOST double or nothing.

I finally got that trick that Ed Haponick does where he snaps starts half of the yoyo, spins on his palm then hops it back into the other side, screwing it back together…

Took me FOREVER but its soooooooo cool!

I saw that vid, that trick looks insanely hard
